Is this the the Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton..no, and you shouldn't expect it to be. Overall pretty average hotel with free wi-fi ( a real necessity for those U.S. cell phone users not wanting to pay for an international plan), clean room and bath ( though the half height louver doors between the bedroom and bathroom are truly unique).... This hotel is very close to the center of town and within walking distance of the main shopping area in Charlotte Amalie. The hotel overlooks the harbor where the cruise ships dock. The view of the seaplane coming and going from St. Croix can also be seen from the hotel. The staff are extremely helpful and desirous of meeting every... More

We stayed here along with 3 other couples for 1 night en route to meeting a boat on Tortola. We stayed here as the hotel is very convenient to walk to restuarants in the downtown or Frenchtown areas, and close to the ferry dock. The hotel is actively in the process of refurbished and updating rooms. We saw lots of... More

We stayed at this hotel on the way to and from Tortola. We chose it, like others have said, because of its location. When we arrived, the check in was painful!. Very slow and unorganized. We were travelling in a group of 4 couples. The first couple checked in and the person asked them to wait, they needed to do... More

Slow service, not that interested in maintaining the property. Probably used to be a pretty nice hotel but something has run it down over the years. It's central to the main downtown or ferry service but I wouldn't stay there more than a night. Not a place to hang for multiple days. And the price wasn't worth it, find a... More

Worst experience of my life!!! I stayed in the hotel for only a night while being in transit. The rooms are large but outdated and very noisy for the one facing the sea due to street traffic! When sleeping I suddenly felt like something was crawling on my face turned on the light and realized that I had a cockroach... More

The biggest plus for this hotel was that it was close enough for us to walk to a variety of restaurants and a few bars . Also, it was easy to catch the local bus ($2 per ride out to Red Hook, etc) or a taxi. The downtown area does get a bit old ... how much jewelry can one... More

Handy location in downtown Charlotte Amalie. Great views of harbor and seaplanes comming and going right outside balcony. Large 4 story building with pool and bar in center court area. Room was modern and clean, new flat screen TV with multiple HBO channels. Small "casino" with video and roluette machines. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Resturant is so, so,.... More

I didn't expect much and wasn't disappointed. Room was clean and big enough, although very dim. TV worked and had plenty of channels and bathroom was fine. Our room faced the street and it was noisy and loud until very late. I booked with Expedia and had a free breakfast. When we went to the restaurant I was told that... More

Room was old and noisy, plumbing was appalling and taking a shower was a mission ! No plug for the coffee maker, but hotel staff were responsive in resolving this. Dinner was average, though menu didn't match what was available or served.dessert wasn't prepared properly (caramel pudding served still frozen).
