Galleon House is a nice, very reasonably priced B &B that suited our needs. Very no frills though. The only problem I had was the 74 steps winding up to the front desk and then another flight up to our room.Carrying heavy luggage made it a real problem for me. The room was clean & very simple, with not much fanfare. Some... More

We stayed here one night after sailing for a week. It's very cute and clean. If you can't carry your stuff up the stairs this isn't for you. This didn't bother us. The deck has a great view and the homemade breakfast on the deck was great. Most of all the staff as noted by others are exceptional. They will... More

Our plane got in late. When we finally got to the hotel around 11:30 the desk attendant said she was about to lock up. What? We had to carry all of our heavy luggage up 74 steps to our room. One of my friends was recovering from pneumonia and is not in general good health. If we had known it... More

I have now stayed at the Galleon House in my two consecutive annual visits to St. Thomas and both times i was extremely pleased. Gail at the front desk is an absolute pleasure and goes out of her way to help you, in her knowledge of the island and local services. Breakfast is included in the stay and the views... More

I have stayed at The Galleon House every time I've traveled to St. Thomas and I don't plan on ever staying anywhere else. Chris (the owner), Gail (the manager), and the rest of the staff are always so good to us and make us feel completely at home. And they cook great breakfasts that are included with the stay. And... We have stayed at the Galleon House twice. Both times we were so impressed with the friendly staff. Gayle, at the registration desk, just couldn't be any nicer. There is a terrific deck overlooking the harbor that that serves as a meeting place for guest, a nice place for cocktails and a place to enjoy the breakfast made to order... More

Needed a cheap place to crash for one night en route to Jost Van Dyke. Paid for the economy shared bathroom room, and it was just what I needed (a bed to crash in.) Breakfast was included, which was a plus. As many stated it is up a few stairs, but not an issue. I personally wouldn't have stayed longer... More

I just stayed at Galleon House for the 3rd time in the past 2 years. This is in a great location and the people working there help make the stay comfortable, fun, and like home. The rooms are comfortable and most have a balcony looking over the town and the water. You can walk to a lot of places from... More

We were looking for reasonably priced accommodations, and this place fit our needs. It's not fair to compare this place to the Marriott or other hotels on the island (or even other hotels in other places), because it is significantly cheaper than those places. The location is convenient since it is towards the middle of the island, making it a... More

We arrived at the Galleon Jan 7 2015. I must admit that at $129/nt it was cheaper than most hotels in Charlotte Amalie, but we were not prepared for just how bad it would be. First, you have to climb about 70 steps from the road to the front desk. The girl at reception was nice enough, but not particularly... More
