We were looking for reasonably priced accommodations, and this place fit our needs. It's not fair to compare this place to the Marriott or other hotels on the island (or even other hotels in other places), because it is significantly cheaper than those places. The location is convenient since it is towards the middle of the island, making it a... More

We arrived at the Galleon Jan 7 2015. I must admit that at $129/nt it was cheaper than most hotels in Charlotte Amalie, but we were not prepared for just how bad it would be. First, you have to climb about 70 steps from the road to the front desk. The girl at reception was nice enough, but not particularly... More

We stayed at the Galleon house for 3 nights. It was very clean and the accommodations were adequate for what we needed. This is not a deluxe accommodation but, we did not want to pay for a deluxe accommodation. It is very comfortable and the staff is very accommodating. It is within walking distance of downtown, of the marina, and... More

This is by far the worst Hotel/Inn we have ever stayed at. Where to start: When we arrived there in the evening, the clerk gave us keys to the room as well as the locked gates on the property. We wondered about the heavy steel gates that, we were informed, need to be locked coming and going. We were later... More

This is an uphill B&B on a downward spiral. Nice view from the deck where a safe and fairly complete breakfast is served and included with the room. I gathered that Galleon has seen better days - atop the hotel sits a all-glass Resturaunt, which I was told closed 3 years ago. My single room with AC and shared bathroom... More

The room is very basic. If money is a constraint and there is nothing else available this hotel is OK. But for $30 extra per night, windward passage hotel which is one block away is much better. Also note this hotel is on a hill so you need to climb the hill+lots of steps to get to the reception(this is... More

Galleon House is quaint, clean and comfortable at a fair price. The breakfasts were great and our view of the harbor stunning. Gail, the manager, was very helpful and friendly. We could walk to downtown easily, and the taxi stand was only a block away. The island ferry was also just a short walk as well as shops and places... More

This cozy B&B lies at top of a LOTS of stairs. The manager is very knowledgeable and social. The room was smallish, with an OK bathroom. Everything was clean and the bed was comfy. Towels were of OK quality. The little pool and its area was great for relaxation - the pool was starting to need more chlorine. Breakfast was... More

Our stay at the Galleon House was an inexpensive place to rest our weary bones after driving around Charlotte Amalie and most of the rest of St Thomas USVI while awaiting for our villa on St John to come available. Our sleeping room was very clean and just what we needed for our short stay. Some of the rooms have... More

We have nothing bad to say about the Hotel itself. It was affordable, clean, wonderful staff and the owner goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. They make a great breakfast in the morning and offer advise and give excellent directions around the island!!! The only downfall was the 68 steps and 3 inclines to our room. If... More
