10 years ago we took our Honeymoon trip to St Thomas- and did an all inclusive at the Sugar Bay resort here.... and then fast forward back to 2014 and we decided (on a whim) to take our 10 year anniversary back at the place that had the most transcendent Caribbean experience- St thomas/St john- but this time we decided... The room had a great view, but the room smelt musty. A previous renter had pushed the bed a foot and left red marks on the wall! This was a bit weird, I mean that no one painted the wall. The "hotel manager, Mr. Lima" did carry our bags down the stairs. The low rating is more for the lack... More

Stayed here for a week and a half in the Hilltop II building on a business trip. My room was on the third floor of the building which allowed for a very nice view of Charlotte Amalie and the float planes coming and going. The air conditioner and ceiling fan are a must with the tropical heat/humidity and my room... More

The "room" we stayed in was down 102 stairs. No one offered to help us with our luggage. No elevator! When we arrived our reservation was not on file quite a mixup. The room apparently the dungeon in earlier times, it was damp and musty and the furniture looked as if it had been purchased at a "flea market". The... More

The room's on the upper level are adequate with TV, frig and nice views of the harbor in Charlotte Amalie. However, while we were there in May on a Sunday and Monday everything was closed so I would not return on those days or I would double check whether or not things are open. The bar is beautiful but it... More

Chose this Inn for it's charm and value. Rooms are clean and the property has a historical and lovely West Indies vibe. Multiple swimming pools .....some quiet and private. But the main pool has a pretty waterfall and view of Charlotte Amalie Harbour and located at the base of Blackbeard's lookout tower (which is the focal point of the hotel... More

Arrived on a Sunday. The hotel was closed. Waited 15 minutes for the only man working to open the front gate. The room was a serious walk from the office and the Manager DID NOT carry my heavy bag. He carried nothing. Hotel bar and restaurant are also closed on SUNDAY & MONDAY. To eat or drink anything we have... More

Good afternoon Andy, I'm sorry that your stay at the hotel was not as pleasant as you desired. Our hotel is a years around operation, and we are opening 24 hours a day. We do keep out front gate locked during the day so that only "hotel guests" have access to the property. Upon checking in I did offer the... More

I decided that a long, very long due vacation was in need for my boyfriend and I, so I did some searching via the oh so wonderful "google" and stumbled upon your site... First off, thank you for making it easy to navigate and also being true to your presented pictures! Secondly, I called to confirm that the dates I... More

We stayed in this hotel for six days. We did not really know what to expect, but we are very glad we made this choice. The room was very clean, had a balcony with a spectaculair view and the people working at the hotel and restaurant are all very friendly. Compared to the prices of other hotels on the Island,... For the second time in the past few years, we have stayed at Blackbeards, and it's been great. You can't beat their location, hospitality and service. Not a better place to get the real feel of old St. Thomas and the views are spectacular. Highly recommend!
