I'm a little bit at a loss for how much I want to review about this hotel, so I will keep it short and to the point... - only 2 rooms worth staying in. Do NOT stay in 214. - its loud... As in very! Cape Air planes, Angry Nates, and a couple of abominable, local roosters will keep your... More

The room is simple but clean, it has a big balcony, a nice pool and is close to the boardwalk full of restaurants and where the night life is at ST Croix, I recommend to rent a car so you can explore the island the taxis are expensive and the best beaches are not in Christianted so is hardly recomend... My husband and I were given this as a gift for our honeymoon and we were not disappointed. The room was clean, the ac worked well and the water was always hot. The bed was comfortable and the porch was beautiful. Yes the "view" we had was of 8 foot wooden fences, but they brought the island inside the fences... More

This hotel is at a great location- right on the harbor walk. However, the only 2 rooms that have a view of the harbor are at the end, and they are above Angry Nate's bar (can be loud well into the night). The room I had was nice- adequately accomodated, clean, modestly stocked. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Spent Thanksgiving in room 315 - ocean view & it was wonderful! If an ocean view is important to you, would recommend upgrade to room 215 or 315. The location of the hotel is in Christiansted on the boardwalk. You can walk to all the great bars and restaurants. We rented a jeep to explore the island (highly recommend.) The... More

As previous posters said, only 2 of the rooms have any views what so ever. Looking at parking lots on both sides. On to the room... The room was dirty and old. 0 maintenence put into the rooms. Stained ceilings and walls, etc. Friendly bugs in your bed. I think they put a flat screen TV in it to make... More

There were four female family members traveling, one who is a senior citizen. Because there are no elevators, we requested a ground floor room which was granted. On our first day the maid service came knocking at 8:15am to service the room. We were taking advantage of being on vacation and did not expect to get up until at least... More

This is a hotel, not a resort, so be fair people! We loved our stay, Newly remodeled room on the first floor. Great and very quiet a/c, lots of hot water, free Internet and free parking. Our large room had a fridge and a microwave, comfy bed, even a small lanai! The hotel has a nice bar/restaurant, and the next... More

The Holger Danske was built with a foundation poured 180 degrees in the WRONG DIRECTION! As such, all the balconies, rather than facing the water, face the parking lots and streets behind the hotel (which included its share of barking dogs)! If we did it again, we would find better and more appropriate accomodations.

At best, I can only give the HD a mixed review. First, the good news. Its location is excellent: on the waterfront. However, unless you are fortunate enough to stay in Room 315 (which we did) of Room 215, your view will be that of a parking lot, not the waterfront. Room 315 has a wonderful view. The large, private... More
