My stay at The Chenay Bay was great. The food at the restaurant was exquisite and well served. We enjoyed Kayaking, Snorkeling, and taking long walks on the beach. My daughter enjoyed snorkeling most of all, as she was able to view many sorts of fish, corals and much more. Also the staff was nice, they fullfilled all our needs... more

My wife and I just got back from Chenay Bay. We were there for one week. First the good things: 1. The resort is very nice and very picturesque. It’s located in the East side of the island, which is the nicest area that we saw. 2. The beach is nice, although the sand is course and there are a... more

We went back in October and it was a great experience. The little cottages were recently renovated (still working on some) and the grounds were immaculate. They really are trying hard here. It is in a safe remote location, but short 5 minute drive to the town. It was much more authentic than a commercial hotel. The restaurant is absolutely... more

My husband and I (40-ish, no kids, like outdoor pursuits) had a very nice five-day stay at Chenay Bay. It's not the Ritz Carlton, but it served our needs well. The cottages are beautifully arranged along landscaped pathways. We stayed in No. 36, a cute pink stucco studio with a nice little porch and partial views of the bay. We... more

Just back from two weeks at CB. Our Caribbean tastes are simple; a nice home on the beach with kitchen, AC, a little covered porch. No elevators, no tents. Chenay Bay met our needs perfectly. After a little discussion of what constitutes an "oceanfront" unit we settled into unit 49 (thx Vic). Most of the rooms are on the hillside... more

First, the good stuff: the beach, pool, restaurant and bar are fabulous. The staff is very friendly and helpful with the exception of an apathetic front desk girl and a cranky bird. The price is fair, but you get what you pay for. Be aware that this place is an active construction site. We lost water one day, cable for... more

use a good bug spray all day long - if you're prone, the "no see ums" will get to you and make things unpleasant. Hope they improve the beds soon, and the deeper swimming isn't great - lots of growth, BUT the rest was great and worth the visit. Kayaking from your beach and lovely long walks. Loved the cottages... more

the cottages (#49 & #50) we stayed at, though lovely on the outside and right on the beach, were in desperate need of work inside. Moldy ceilings, rusted refrigerator, holes in bathtub, paint pealing. Staff advised us when checking in that a huge family orientated music event was happening Saturday night (our last night there) that would go from 6-10pm.... more

We spent 1 week at Cheney Bay Beach Resort and can't wait to go back. St Croix is a quaint island with little night life and the place to learn what "island time" means. Cheney Bay Resort is in a secluded area and is a great place for families, a place for making friends with the other guests and right... more
