During our stay at Chenay Bay, we encountered power outage and no water for two days. The manager did not take any responsibility what happened. He has no clue about what Customer Service is all about. If he has acted proactively in managing this resort, he would have generators running to provide backup power. We had paid for a package... more

Never had power or water the first ten hours we were there. So, finally, they told us we would never have power or water (after the manager finally showed up to face the music). Offered to move us to a dump downtown, but we refused. We ended up at the great Bucaneer, but for more money. Sad thing is, the... more

I only want to say change the management!!!! the open area for eating is full of flies, you have to swat more than you can eat, usually before you go to a place you see pictures, nothing .....like the real thing. Needless to say the beach is clean but there are sea urchins so there is noone in the water.... more

We booked our trip almost 6 months in advance, hoping we would get a remodeled unit, we had booked a king garden view . After a long day of traveling from Minnesota we arrived at the hotel about 6pm and were brought to our unit. They open the door for us but someone was already in that unit. We were... more

My husband and I just returned from an amazing vacation at Chenay Bay. A few things to keep in mind if you are considering St. Croix for your next vacation. If you are looking for a place with active nightlife, this is probably not the place for you. If quick service is most important to you, look elsewhere. However, if... more

We were supposed to go to St. Croix at Christmas but put it off because of the economy. We rebooked for Spring Break and changed hotels to use points. At first glance, Chenay Bay is a cute cluster of bungalows on the beach. We were put in the bungalow the furthest from the beach - not really that far at... more

Burke, Patty & Big D made us feel more like family than guests at this beautiful beachside resort. This was our first trip to St. Croix and, based upon our experiences at Chenay Bay, we cannot wait to return! This resort is the picture of a Caribbean vacation with gorgeous cottage accommodations, delicious food (try the Mahi!), excellent service and... more

We loved Chenay Bay. We had a garden view room but you could totally see the ocean so I'm not sure if we were upgraded or what. From seeing the property I would think you would be able to see the ocean from most of the cottages. We were totally satisifed with our room. It was clean and comfortable. The... more

This was the most relaxing vacation in an ideal location. There was always something going on socially, but I could choose my activities. I went swimming and snokeling. There was a gorgious swimming pool and the ocean water off the beach a few steps from my cabin. My cabin was eqipped with air conditioning and a kitchenette, bathroom and studio(sleeping,... more
