This was our second stay at Carambola. The first was two years ago and again the resort was wonderful. The rooms are spacious and open with beautiful simple decor. The facilities from beach to pool to dining are excellent, clean, and staffed with genuinely friendly and helpful staff. We stayed for 8 days for the Ironman and the diving. The... More

I recently stayed at the Carambola Beach Resort (Renaissance) in St. Croix, USVI. This was my 5th visit to this property. I love the property, the rooms, the beach! It is definitely one of my favorite places. I have to admit that I was quite surprised at the poor service at the dining facilities. First of all, you have 2... More

Our stay here was fantastic. The views were breathtaking and the room was everything we could have asked for. Very spacious, clean and well taken care of. The staff was friendly in every way. The food, though pricey, was delicious. Several servers took the time to remember our names and what we were drinking, so every time we came back... More

What a pleasure this resort was. All hotels have pros and cons, but the pros far outweigh the cons here. I am a Marriott Platinum member and traveled on points. Here is the breakdown by category: Airport/Transportation: Rent a car. It's not that expensive and you'll be glad you did. The roads, while they could be improved, are no worse... More

The hotel looks like condos. All the rooms are suites. All haven a screened in room, which is a must in the islands. The people are extremely friendly and helpful. The only drawback is the limited food options...main restaurant and bar. Otherwise, it was a great vacation

My husband and I spent 9 nights in December at The Renaissance Carambola celebrating our anniversary. It is paradise tucked away on a private cove. The grounds and beach are beautiful. The suites are handsome and spacious and have a cozy screened in porch. The staff are outstanding, both attentive and personable. This is a wonderful place to relax and... More

We came to St. Croix to visit friends & to dive. Our friends strongly recommended Carambola, in part for their dive shop (Sweet Bottom). I agree there; the best thing about Carambola was Sweet Bottom. Service at the hotel was primarily excellent. But since we were paying $200/night for an island view room, I'm going to nitpick a little bit,... More

Hi Jessica, Thanks for telling us about your recent visit. It's okay, everyone has a different idea of their ideal hotel room and design. Are room were designed to have a lodge-like feel and blend in with the natural environment of beach and rainforest. They did combined elements of the cultures that inhabited the island in the past such as... More

My friends and I snagged a good deal, so it was worth the money. The rooms are not perfect, a little dated. But there's a mini kitchen, and a screened porch which lets in a nice breeze and ocean sounds. The restaurants are nothing special, but the little beach bar on the sand has $7 painkiller. If you want dinner... More
