The website for this hotel prominently displays the hotel restaurant the H2O. My wife read the menus with enthusiasm and the site promises free continental breakfast. We spoke to them by phone the week before we went. We arrive and when I ask the office staff "where do we eat" , she looks at me like I asked for guns... more

We would like to express our regret for the inconveniences encountered by this guest. We feel a clarification of some of the information is warranted, however, as we feel this guest, although rightfully frustrated and upset, did seem to exaggerate the circumstances. Our restaurant, H2O, has never been closed by an official department, but has closed routinely for a short...

We had a wonderful stay at the Hibuscus - the Restaurant is very, very, very good. The rooms have seen better days, but we would definetely return any day. Our son was 15 months old at the time, and we would recommend it to travellers with children. Don't expect much of the swimmingpool though... more

I filled out a reservation form on the hotel's secure web site and included my credit card information as requested. About a month later, the hotel confirmed my reservation, long after I had made other arrangements. In doing so, they sent me 4 emails with all of my credit card information laid out, exposing me to potential credit card fraud.... more

We express our regret and do apologize for the problems encountered by this guest. The island Internet Service Provider we used for our website at that time did experience occasional glitches with its Email Program, which resulted in the initial delay in responding to this guest, along with subsequent problems with credit card information. Although this was a one-time circumstance,...

I have been staying at the Hibiscus for the past 7 years about once a year when I go to St. Croix on business. In the past I was very pleased with the hotel and the service. Upon arrival at the hotel this year I checked into my room and learned that my air conditioning was not working. I called... more

Although this incident occurred during the tenure of previous Owners, we would still like to apologize on behalf of Hibiscus Beach Resort and its reputation in the community and its frequent, repeat guests, as well as future potential guests. It is evident that various situations encountered by this guest were not handled satisfactorily, and we agree that, in all ways...

Ask for Room 35 or in the same building. Of course it's not a five-star resort or plush all-inclusive, but if you are looking for a squeaky clean, ocean-front, laid-back, private, "escape from it all" at a great price - this is it. It is under new ownership (approximately 2 months) so ignore all of the menus and restaurant hours... more

My fiance and I were disgusted by the condition of our bathroom. Apparently there were multiple leaks on the shower floor that caused a flood whenever it was used. Maintainence guy tried fixing it without success. To add insult to injury, they played live music until 2am on saturday. Thats great if you want to party. Bad if you want... more

Although this traveler's visit occurred during the tenure of previous Owners, we would like to clarify that under new ownership, renovations have been on-going and all bathrooms have been and are being re-tiled and renovated. Painting has occurred and is on-going in all buildings and rooms, as well as exteriors.

I love this hotel. It fits all of my requirements: not too fancy or stuffy, small, "homelike" feel, on the beach, not an all-inclusive, dining on site. The rooms are fairly spacious although they are not as fancy as the ones you might find at Villa Madeline or The Buccaneer. If you are looking for chintz or mahogany, check out... more

Starting off with the positive is that this place IS right on the beach - literally. Unfortunately, the waters around it are not the best for swimming due to all the rocks. The rooms were neat and clean and at a good rate, but in serious need of some updates from the lamps that appear to have been purchased in... more

Make this short and sweet. This was a good place for the price. Rooms were clean and people very friendly. Restaurant was OK but we had better on the island. It's been a while but I would stay here again for sure. The beach is a great place to do some free snorkeling. Saw eels, octupus, and some rays. Was... more
