we stayed in the smallest room and it was still luxurious. no wireless in the rooms despite the advertising of it, but they have an easy to use business center and frankly, it was great i wasn't on my computer. i needed to relax and focus on napping. i was prepared to be dissappointed, and was instead impressed. we were... more

We spent 9 wonderful days at the Somerset celebrating our wedding anniversary. Even before our trip, the staff at the Somerset (concierge - Eva and Chef Lauren) were very helpful in ensuring we had a wonderful stay. We had our dinner reservations booked early on, and because of a food allergy, Chef Lauren reassured me about the resort's ability to... more

My wife and I stayed at the Somerset for 8 nights for our honeymoon. From the moment we walked in, we were treated very well. Most everyone was very friendly, (although the wait staff at the pool bar sometimes seemed tired and unappreciative of our business). Our room was gorgeous, a one bedroom cottage suite with two full bathrooms, wall... more

My husband and I went to the Turks & Caicos for our honeymoon in late June, early July. We planned a 10 day stay in one of the garden view cottages. Transportation from the airport was arranged by the Somerset at $11 each person and added to our room bill. When we arrived at our room, we were VERY pleased.... more

My husband and I stayed at the Somerset end of June, early July. It is by far the nicest place we have ever been. The hotel is unbelievable, the water is crystal clear blue, the beaches are amazing and there is snorkeling within walking distance. There are many places to stay on Grace Bay but I really liked this hotel.... more

My husband and I just took our second trip to Turks and Caicos. Our first trip was our honeymoon in May 2006 and we stayed at the Palms where we had absolutely no complaints. We thought we would try staying somewhere else this trip simply for variation and thought based on the reviews of the Somerset that we would again... more

We had never been to TCI before, and did extensive research, mostly on Trip Advisor's forums, on the resorts along Grace Bay. The Somerset was exactly what we wanted in a resort. Although it is very elegant and upscale, The Somerset is low key and rather understated. The guests were a mix of couples, families, and small groups of friends.... more

My husband and I decided to stay at the Somerset resort for our honeymoon after he did extensive research on all the resorts on the island. It was the best decision he’s ever made. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted upon check in with hot towels and their signature island punch (delish). This totally hit the spot after... more

We stayed at a one-bedroom gardenview suite. The room was fine: a little old-fashioned (grandma style) but it was clean and functional. The resort was good overall, nice pools etc., although we have been to better resorts at lower prices. The main problem was overcharging by the hotel. They were supposed to give a 4th night for free. This was... more

This was our 2nd vacation to Turks and Caicos, the 1st time we stayed at The Regent Palms(which was fabulous). We choose The Somerset this time b/c last time at Regent Plams there were SO many kids, we viewed The Somerset during that trip and noted a very quiet, very layed back resort with very little amount of kids, it... more
