This is an absolutely gorgeous property. While recently constructed, the exterior is done in a style that could be described as "Caribbean Colonial Revival" and pulled off beautifully without looking tacky. The hotel/condo complex comprises about nine buildings. They are arranged around a striking central garden and each room has a large balcony. Some of the front rooms have ocean... more

RWI was wonderful. It was the 2nd time we have visited the island but our 1st there. We were there to get married and had a group of 29, about 18 stayed @ RWI. The staff at both the hotel & restaurant are about 50/50, but my guess is that will improve with time as the island is still fairly... more

We have just returned from a week at the RWI, and had the most glorious time!! The resort is fantastic. Very intimate, beautiful grounds, and some amazing staff. The pools are lovely, and rarely busy. We had one of the pools to ourselves every day that we were there. The beach is fabulous!! I would highly recommend this for a... more

I wrote a detailed trip report so please see it if you want more information! In summary I absolutely loved Royal West Indies! I fell in love with the grounds and the beach and its laid back atmosphere. The location was excellent - within walking distance to shops and restaurants and now the new supermarket! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend... more

We stayed for 8 days and 7 nights because my sister got married at the hotel and it was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! We were a large group of people and all the groups were scattered throughout the resort, everyone had great rooms with ample kitchens and beautiful views. The beachfront of this hotel is fantastic. There's free chairs and umbrellas available... more

Just got back from Provo and could not be any happier with our choices. RWI is in the perfect location at the perfect price. The Grace Bay Club (Anacoanda - highly recommend treating yourself one night!) is right next door so you get the best of both worlds. RWI is easy going and GBC is a scene. You MUST visit... more

We got ripped off by this hotel-they claimed we made and did not cancel a reservation in time on their website but all we did was request room availability where they asked for a credit card # to check and then hold a room THEN we'd be notified if one was avail. I was never sent an email or any... more

After spending a week at RWI, thought it was definitely worth writing a post about this great resort. I've travelled all over the world, and when I look for hotels the tendency is to zone in on only the 5 star ratings, b/c of this I wasn't 100% sure about what we'd get at RWI, we could not have been... more

I traveled to this resort in May of 2008 with my husband and a single friend. We all had a great time. The resort is beautiful, clean and well-kept. We had read on Trip Advisor before we left that the restaurant at the resort was the best on the island, and we found that to be true. The beach is... more

My wife and kids (ages 5 and 6) just returned from a 7 night stay at the RWI. We had a 1 bedrooom, botanical suite (711) just off the "quiet pool area". Overall: A great time at a very solid 4 Star condo/resort. It is not possible to consider this a 5 star as it simply lacks the amenities of... more
