We did not actually stay at the hotel but we ate at the resturant twice while staying at the nearby Turtle beach hotel and were so impressed i didn't want to see the Cocrico with no review/ mention so .... We went for lunch on Boxing Day and were made so welcome by lady owner. At the end of the meal she pursued us to give us a personal free lift home, fearing we would not be able to get a taxi on a bank holiiday. She was a lovely lady who told us that Tobago used to be described as great for "the newly wed and the nearly dead" and despite her travels all round the world she had come back to the island. This welcome and the great cooking meant we went back for our last meal of the holiday at the Cocrico's resturant - our greatest holiday accolade!!!
The hotel is in a typical ,quiet ( but with a shop, bar and resturant) village close to the sea but not right on a good beach. This is not a big glossy, chain, international (bland?) hotel but seemed a good local, cheaper... more
