My wife and I have just returned from Arnos Vale and felt that we had to post this review to help others to at least consider this wonderful place. This was our first visit to Tobago and having booked the fights with BA (via Antigua); I used Trip Advisor as usual to identify where best to stay. I must admit... more

My husband and I went off the property to the city for an evening out, on our return the gates were locked and we were unable to enter, and no one answered the phones. Fortunately the cab had not left and we able to return to the city to bunk with friends. We were without much needed medication and we... more

Just returned from the Arnos Vale and would recommend it totally. This is a remote and completely unspoiled part of the island and definitely not for those seeking excitement and nightlife. The entertainment here comes from the natural surroundings, the perfect beach and reef and the wildlife. Standard rooms are basic but quite large, perfectly clean and OK. The beachside... more

We loved Arnos Vale - not for the accomodations, but for the levely grounds, location, amenities and staff. At first impression we were a bit surprised because the rooms seemed a bit outdated and we arrived in low season (which means hardly any people). After we began getting aquainted with the staff, the grounds, the pool, the beach, the snorkeling,... more

Where to start? Beautiful grounds? Wonderful beach/snorkeling? Countless birds? Hiking opportunities? Excellent food? No-It has to be the owners and staff. We arrived Saturday evening. Our luggage arrived on the following Thursday. Sunday morning Mr. Bronte, the owner, provided us with toothpaste, brushes and sunscreen. Paul, one of the employees loaned me shorts and t-shirts. Marilyn, Amelia, Crystal and the... more

If you want peace and quiet, great breakfasts with fresh juice and fruit and fabulous birds and flowers to look at while you eat, then this is the place. The beach has the best snorkeling only yards from it and the pool is never busy and very clean. What a refreshing change from the all inclusive hotels on the island.There... more

My wife and I stayed there and we honestly were robbed in our room. Kimoy, the manager of sorts, seemed to care very little and even told us it happened in November. If you know you have a problem guranteeing the safety of your guests, you should highlight that at check in. Kimoy's response to our theft was that that... more

We had originally were booked to stay two weeks at Coco Reef Resort, which is nice in a fake feel to it. If we just wanted a beach we could have gone to the Bahamas but we like to experience nature. They had it all, our taxi driver introduced us to the Hotel for snorkeling. The snorkeling was awesome, we... more

Seldom can any hotel have dropped its standards so quickly under new management than Arnos Vale. This was always a quirky, different hotel with its grandeur of the past still showing through and its beautiful tropical setting of gardens and Caribbean bay still a powerful attraction. What has changed between 2006 and 2007 seems to have been a ruthless drive... more

We went to the Arnos Vale with my parents, who have been before. They were bitterly dissapointed to see what had become of what was a wonderful hotel. The restaurant was a joke. When we asked to see the wine list we were told "we have white and red!" I asked if they could make a cheese sandwhich for my... more
