I went to Trinidad for my brother's funeral. I had previously stayed at Alicia's Guest House. That was fine. It could have been cleaner, but for a cheap quality place it was ok. Alicia's Palace is a couple steps up. The rooms were clean and comfortable, not fancy. The service was friendly. The food was great, especially breakfast. The best... more

9 of us stayed at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed being here. However, even though the rooms are big they are basic and the bathroom left a lot to be desired. But that aside, we had a neat balcony, a pool that my companions enjoyed and a restaurant where the cook was very obliging. We would tell her what we... more

At Alicia's you are a two mile walk up a steep hill from POS. The shuttle down to Alicia's House is regular but you are still a long way from town at Alicia's House. While the Palace is ideally situated in the rain forest, if you plan to spend an evening at the hotel be aware it only has beer... more

I stayed here for a few days with my boyfriend. The location was very pretty and the outside of the building and the grounds were well kept. The same cannot be said for the inside. The inside of the room seemed to be basic and fine. However, there were a lot of ants and other sorts of small bugs in... more

I could not get a room closer to town and almost had to cancel my business trip until this hotel was pointed out to me by a colleague who lived in Trinidad. I had two requirements: It must have internet in the room and be air conditioned. I’d also like to feel comfortable and safe at the same time. Alicia’s... more

Accommodation was basic but clean and comfortable. Great if you have young children and are worried about fancy decor. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice to suit most families. Portion sizes large enough for children to share parents meal. Swimming pool and hot tub were clean and maintained well. Have family in Trinidad but... more

We had selected Alicia's Palace for its quiet location and panoramic views. We booked our three-night stay directly with the hotel six weeks in advance and they charged one night reservation deposit to our credit card. When we arrived Sunday at 10:30 pm they refused to honor our pre-paid reservation. Instead they offered to arrange a room at Alicia's House,... more

I stayed there with my sister and daughter and we really enjoyed our stay. At first after reading all the reviews we had decided to ask to see the room first and then confirm our stay. The staff is very friendly, the shuttle to Alicia's house very convenient and from there is easy to go anywhere. We would certainly recommend... more

We booked some rooms at Alicia's Palace for our contingent of business persons that was coming in for an annual tradeshow in Trinidad & Tobago. The bookings were made a month in advance, credit card information was sent and confirmation numbers received for all the reservations. To our disgust, when the first 2 members of our party arrived, they were... more
