The hotel is not safe. Also the neighbourhood is very dangerous. We almost lost our lives in this hotel, there was a bunch of boys with a gun in our room. At the streets there was much drug-traffic and junkies. Go some place else. However: even the Dutch Consul was robbed in his own neighbourhood. He met a guy with... more

DON'T STAY HERE!! Although we had one rate given in writing they charged us a higher rate upon arrival and were unpleasant. The hotel is old, small, dark, and rooms are dismal!! AC is old and noisy and room had smelly mothballs which usually placed in tropical climates to keep cockroaches away but making it hard to breathe! There are... more

This hotel is far from just that!!!!! Unprofessional (rude and inconsiderate) management, dirty bathrooms, disorganized, overpriced!!!!!!!!! Stay far from this place. Do more research on other guest houses available. The website doesnt tell the entire truth, of course! Its not that convenient, make sure you have lots of money for taxis or be prepared to walk anywhere you wanna go,... more

This was my second trip to the Abercromby, my first trip was excellent. However my second trip where myself, my boyfriend with my daughter and my mum in tow arrived at 2.30pm only to be told they could not find a booking for the room we had requested, the receptionist we had spoken with over the phone and who had... more

I stayed in the hotel for about 8 days. On their website they state that if you stay for 7-9 days you will recieve a discount. I'm sad to say that i had to fight very very hard to get the discount i deserved. The staff told me different stories like it's only if you stay 14 days and even... more

I stayed at abercromby for a few days and overall it was nice. Most of the staff was very welcoming and helpful, especially David. On arrival i was disappointed because the room was not spacious at all but that is mainly because we had two single beds in our room. I stayed in an economy room which had air conditioning,... more

What a disappointment!! The inn was basically empty and we had a reservation, but we were put in a room that was virtually a box- no window, overwhelming moth ball stench, and the desk person was surly to boot. In addition, they had no record of the fact that we had prepaid by Mastercard, so we had to pay again... more

I stayed at the Abercromby Inn for only a day as i was just passing through the town and need a place to crash with my girlfriend. The rooms are small and basic but were clean. I paid $55 USD, which is a decent price to pay considering the prices of other inn's and hotels in the surrounding areas. The... more
