Overall I would rate this hotel 3-4. Staff was very friendly and helpful, luckily we were upgraded to a room at the pool which was very nice, originally we had a standard room which did not even have a window. The hotel setting overall is nice incl. a nice pool area. It's not really central, means if you want to... More

I spent a few nights a long time ago. The facilities were pretty poor, but the atmosphere was magical. Beers at the pool, the very pleasant staff, the location at the park. I recall hearing rehearsals for carnival in the park and trying (but failing) to change by flight to spend the weekend there instead of Barbados. I wish I'd... More

With its pleasant grounds and layout, the Normandie has the potential to offer a better-than-generic experience. Unfortunately, it seems uninterested in delivering the basics, namely functioning air conditioning, reliable wi-fi, and filtered water for international guests. While the room was clean and decent (though equipped with an old CRT TV), the a/c worked only one night out of four and... More

I attended the COCO Dance Festival as a member of the Joffrey Ballet School team so I was working from early morning, which I could do from my hotel room (which had a nice working desk) or in the lobby or restaurant/bar. Fresh Fish & Shrimp (and other meets, veggies, etc) Barbeque on Friday nights, welcoming staff and lovely atmosphere.... More

We had a business meeting at the Normandie for over 100 people and they simply could not keep up with the demand. There was no one from the hotel placed nearby to assist in case needs be. Every time something went wrong (which was every hour we were there) it took 15 mins to find someone in charge and another... More

My overall experience here was professional and authentic. I ordered the osso buco with porcini mushrooms! it was to die for! i would also recommend the Ratatouille which was also as good as my Grand Mother still makes!!

Another old colonial standard with cache, may still have the annual carol service pepper lights and all, magical tropical Christmas grounds ... Saw a very good summer concert here .. Good Caiso another seriously nostalgic venue if you're old enough

I'd go there again. Breakfast is ok and their callaloo soup is a must once you're there. Courteous staff. Cable + wifi. I was there twice, room service was okay could have been better but the kitchen closes too early :(

On Mother's Day 2015 and Easter Weekend 2014. Took my Wife and 2 kids for brunch. This was the best value for money. There was a wide variety of dishes. The food was great. The customer service was excellent. They made sure that everything was ok. I am definitely going back again.

The room was exactly what I anticipated, in regards to appearance. It took a day and a half to get the thermostat working right. Once we were cool all was right. The service could have been better for towels and providing items requested, but the front desk service was good. Cute hotel, but it could be so much better.
