My Family and I arrived at Gingerbread House on June 1st for one week and we were very impressed with the service that we received. The rooms were very comfortable and self contained. The Gingerbread House is very centrally located and within walking distance to restaurants, shops and banks. Rosemary and her Family made us feel very welcome and all... more

This is a family run guest house. The house and garden are fantastic and includes decking and a small pool/jacuzzi. The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast consists of fresh fruit, cereal, juice, eggs and bacon, fantastic! The family is very welcoming also. more

Gingerbread is definately a hidden gem. Has a colonial feel that takes you back in time. Rosemary, who runs it is very warm and welcoming. All the lads and I felt at home and we had a splendid time. Would definately recommend it! more

Travelled for the cricket and was made most welcome by Rosemary and her staff. Stayed in two different rooms which were both very large, comfortable and well kept. Would certainly return on the next tour. more

I found out about the Gingerbread House on Trip Advisor; it came highly recommended by every single person that stayed there. I was originally going to book at another guesthouse in Trinidad, but on the day I was going to confirm, I found out that people had been robbed while staying there in February. I did not have a lot... more

Every year we spend a month on the road backpacking & staying at B & Bs, and if we're really lucky there's one fantastic place that does everything right & reminds you of why you travel. This year that was the Gingerbread House - easily the best B & B we stayed in and a wonderful place that we enjoyed... more

Prior to arrival my only communication was with Rosemary by email several times. She was responsive, timely and a great communicator. We arrived in POS after12MN. My family and I did not reach the Gingerbread House until nearly 1AM. I was worried at first as we pulled up in a cab. We rang the "after 10PM" buzzer and Rosemary greeted... more

My husband and I were in Port of Spain for a few days in May /June2008. Having stayed at the Gingerbread House previously in 2003 we were interested to see if the place was as nice as we remembered or our nostalgia for T&T had tweaked our memory of the place into something more than it really was. Well it’s... more

When our family arrived at the Gingerbread House (at midnight!), we received a warm welcome from Rosemary. The rooms were clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Each morning we were treated to a delicious breakfast prepared by Bernadette. We would visit with Rosemary & Bernadette, hearing the stories of the island of Trinidad. The pool was refreshing, warm and clean. The... more

My girlfriend and I booked 2 nights after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor. It was a little pricier than my orginal budget had allowed but it was worth it. This is a lovely home and the refreshing "pool" in the tranquil, beautifully landscaped backyard, was worth every cent after a hot dusty day in Port of Spain. Rosemary and Bernard... more
