I was in Trinidad during the last Carnival and I stayed at the Tradewinds hotel in San Fernando, Trinidad. I had a pleasant stay, the staff were great creating a home away from home hospitality. it was great. Also the staff at the 3's Wine Restaurant attached to Tradewinds hotel were professional and courteous. Will stay at the Tradewinds again.

I live in Trinidad and decided to stay at this establishment to facilitate travel time on a work project however i was severely disappointed. I was required to put an accident insurance deposit per day which seems silly to me, sure have a deposit but if you stay for 10 nights then 10 times the deposit?? I stayed in the... More

Stayed here recently for one night, 28th Feb for Business. - Due to Carnival weekend, all the usual hotels in Trinidad were completely booked up, flights also, at last minute, the stay in the Tradewinds was made. The hotel isn't really central to anything, no local shops/facilities/beaches even. No shuttle provided either. The hotel itself offers a small pool at... More

Hotel staff, friendly enough. Breakfast very basic. My large room was sparcely furnished, wi-fi very weak. I did indeed had a couple of uninvited large cockroaches join me in the shower. Attached to the hotel is a bar/club with a deaf dj the music is LOUD,VERY LOUD and it continues untill the early hours...yeah i did ask them could they turn down... More

I stayed here for three days a couple months ago and I think it is highly overpriced. The rooms were just average. I had a room overlooking the breakfast and pool area and that was my "view". Looking beyond that led me to the view of "bush". The buffet breakfast was excellent I must say. Loved the variety that offered.... More

I really cant express how great this hotel is, throughout my entire visit I was made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the hotel staff. I travel internationally for my job and have never came across such a warm and inviting place to stay. Stayed in Trade Winds hotel for over 10 month and was located... More

I went there for my honeymoon for two nights.(originally). we had such a good time, we ended up booking another two nights. At first, we got the room with the sauna, It was nice and spacious and as it was a corner room, you could see the front and the back of the hotel. The following two nights we got... More

The rooms at the Trade Winds are old, and if you are on the first floor like I was, they are without a view. However, they are large and clean, and you are given a full sized fridge and kitchen. Don't stay here if you are expecting luxury. With that said, what makes the Trade Winds a special place to... More

I traveled to Trinidad for business and stayed at the Tradewinds for six months. I would never stay anyplace else. I was made to feel like a treasured friend, even family. I got a suite with a full kitchen, which I would recommend to any one staying for any length of time, however, I cooked only rarely as the restaurant... More
