My husband and I had a terriffic honeymoon experience at Friendship Bay Hotel. We booked over the internet so were unsure of the island and hotel before we arrived. We hit the jackpot on both counts. If you don't mind sleeping over a sump, no hot water, lousy food, high prices, algae filled water,, and a filthy toilet at the beach bar, then this is the place for you. If we hadn't discovered Lower Bay, and the fabulous deals there, we would never have come back to Bequia. more

Friendship Bay Resort was named right!! We didn't stay there because we (Capt. Dan, Arty, Linda, Luke, Di, Carl), came in on a catamaran and ancored in the bay for the nite. Our crew from Wisconsin and Michigan did dinghy into the resort and had cocktails (Bush Wackers) and dinner from a big selection on the menu!! Our Crew all... more

For our 20th anniversary, my husband and I wanted something quiet, romantic, laid-back and unique. A short description of the island of Bequia in a travel magazine sounded just perfect.
