Visited twice, once with 7 for lunch, once with 4 for tea. Managed to get a table on the terrace both times. Menu has a decent choice with reasonable prices. Portion sizes good, food piping hot apart from the crab salads (ha ha) which were definitely fresh crab not frozen and a really good size, even had egg on it,... More

We have stayed here many times so know Iain and Wilma enough to be greeted by them as we walk through the doors each time we go back, this place is special because in 2010 this was the venue for our wedding as was the church next door, St Hywyns. Everyone from church to hotel made our day so, so... More

Nice mansion, very quiet in a rural area with a lovely view. The hotel is being refurbished but no problems with noise whatsoever. The restaurant looks and is very nice, we've had an enjoyable tasty dinner. (despite the soup being to cold, issue immediately solved.)

Recently stayed at Gwesty ty Newydd to help our son in law to celebrate his 50th birthday. The hotel was fantastic . We had a large room overlooking the beach, the waves sounded wonderful at night. The food served far exceeds "pub grub", it is presented beautifully and tasted wonderful. I still think about the crab salad! The staff were... More

We stayed last week and found the experience disappointing. + Nice beach. Great views from sea facing room. - Reception area poor and slow. Food in restaurant poor.. Frozen crab instead of fresh....come on this is not good enough/lazy considering location Restaurant very noisy on the Saturday night with drinkers spilling into restaurant, (we ate elsewhere on the Sunday) No... Ate here a couple of time whilst camping close to Aberdaron. The terrace with a beach view is an amazing place to eat. I don't think you can book - you just have to wait for a table but we had no problem getting one three nights on the run. They have heaters and big covers - which are ok... More

I stayed here as a little luxury after finishing a long distance walk. I loved the fact that my room overlooked the beach, and the light airy feel to the room. I also loved my big bright bathroom. Staff were enthusiastic and very friendly. Two minor suggestions for improving their service: first ensure that the reception is properly staffed. (Whenever... More

A place that just simply gets everything right without appearing to try - like a World class athlete makes what they're doing look really easy and effortless (when you just know that level of performance takes an amazing amount of hard work and attention to detail). So; - Rooms were absolutely sparking and spotless (not a speck of dust even... More

We decided to go there for lunch and although we were on the deadline for service, the friendly barman went to check with the kitchen. Luckily the kitchen said 'Yes'. We went for the lobster platter- it was a no-brainer- local lobster freshly caught. When it arrived, we were staggered by the size of the meal- 1/2 a lobster, massive... More
