Didn't stay in the hotel but as a family we enjoyed two meals in the restaurant. A lovely steak one night and a huge Sunday Roast. The food was good quality, the staff were very friendly and the service great. You can enjoy your meal outside on a lovely terrace over looking the beautiful beach.

A restaurant booking on a very busy evening, but the service and the quality of food was really excellent. Some of the best dressed crab I have had , my friends had steak and chicken, both cooked perfectly. Good real ales and a quality wine list compliment this. One small crtiscism - the bar is open to the restaurant and... More

In recent years, the owners of Gwesty Ty Newydd have invested heavily in the place, most obviously by expanding & refurbishing the restaurant, building new toilet facilities and extending out the balcony overlooking the beach. However, the front bar area is still very much favoured by the locals and appears somewhat unwelcoming. The large screen telly on the wall gives... More

Right on the beach with a heated terrace overlooking the sea, this is the perfect place for a drink or dinner. We had an enjoyable meal and my fresh crab was lovely with huge tasty and fresh salad - just a shame I was too late for the last lobster dish which looked fabulous! Oh well, next time...

I took my wife here for our 5th wedding anniversary. The room had a wonderful sea view and we could hear the waves lapping when we got up in the morning. We dined and then sat outside under the heaters watching the sun go down and the tide come in. Very busy little place, offering good food and a comfortable... More

This was our second stay in Ty Newydd, and this time we were given the disabled room. The room is on the side of the hotel, with good sea views along the coast, and also of the little church where the poet RS Thomas was the vicar for many years. You do have to look out on a flat roof... More

I didn't stay here overnight, but ate here about a month ago. I had salad crank (crab salad). It was amazing. The service was friendly, the location was amazing (we sat outside) and the food was second to none. I will definitely be back!

Doing the Llyn Coastal Path with five friends, we stayed here for our Aberdaron night. We'd all stayed here the previous year so we knew it would be good. The location is superb, right on the beach, most rooms overlooking the sea and really well appointed, especially the view and the excellent bathroom and shower much appreciated after long-day's hike.... Although I did not stay at the hotel, I was taken there by friends whilst I was on holiday in the area. I am on a strict gluten free diet and what a great surprise to find that there was so much choice for me. I had the thai chicken and rice. It was perfect! nicely presented and plenty of... More

A nice welcome on arrival and a very nice sea view room. Could you fault the hotel inside. The breakfast was excellent. The only complaint I have is that on Saturday afternoon when the terrace was full customers were clearing tables for their use so they could do with a glass collector at busy times.
