An exceptionally well built hotel considering its location, as the sea pounds into the basement wall at high spring tide. And what a stunning view! Two miles of sandy beach stretching to the left and right of you. This is a great place to spend a few days, fabulous landlord and landlady, all the bar and other staff are friendly... More

Village pub/hotel in centre of village. The rear balcony of the hotel overhangs the beach and at high tide in February the sea came right up to and under the balcony. View from bar and indeed our room was the beach and the sea. Hotel busy considering it was February half term and the weather was damp and cold. Choice... More

Stayed for three nights this week. Rooms were clean and serviced each day. The views from the bedrooms and the restaurant were excellent. The breakfasts would keep you satisfied for most of the day. Evening meals were of a high standard. The price is very good value. This is the 6th year we have stayed here and the look forward to... More

Have stayed here a few times and it's always been a pleasant stay but there have been some visible improvements too. The quality of service and the food was much improved. You cannot beat the location so it's been the perfect two night stay. Very good value for money, nice food, clean, friendly. Very happy customer...

STUNNING! The view from the room is amazing. To wake up to the sound of the sea so close was wonderful. The room was large and tastefully furnished. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic. We all had full cooked breakfast - more than enough! The Sunday carvery was brilliant. Plenty of choice of veggies and... More

This hotel is on the beach in the centre of Aberdaron a great location. There is plenty of choice from the menu in the bar. I had the Sunday carvery that was good value and quality. Our room was at the front of the hotel with fantastic sea views. The rooms are very clean and spacious and have every thing... More

"......... suddenly you come upon it, the village in the Welsh hills with no road out, but the one you came in by" - well, what can we say, other than we didn't want to go back out of this delightful village. It reminds us of "Postman Pat's Greendale" - only it's by the sea. We have now stayed at... More

We were staying in the area for a few days and decided to go around the peninsular for a drive and walk with friends and the dog. Stopped in Aberdaron for a walk on the beak and something to eat. We tried 2 places - one we could take the dog in but they finished serving 10 min after we... More

The Gwesty Ty Newydd is truly a remarkable establishment. After some initial disappointment that there was no residents lounge or comfortable seating area overlooking the sea, the Gwesty Ty Newydd worked its magic on us increasingly during our 6 night stay. The hotel is 'high spec', with nice little touches like bathroom underfloor heating and heated mirror; clean, warm, and... More
