My husband & I had the pleasure to stay at the Grand Caymanian resort June 13-20 2009 in unit 1107A. We exchanged a week from our home resort (West Gate Lakes, Orland FL) and I have to tell you, after reading all the mediocre reviews I prepared my self for disappointment. Boy was that a waste of time… We absolutely... more

Our Grand Villa was clean, beautifully appointed and spacious. The resort is close to everything - 7 Mile Beach, great restaurants & activities (turtle farm, swimming with the dolphins, etc.) yet secluded, quiet & relaxing... away from all the hustle and bustle of the 7 Mile Beach area. No matter where you stay on Grand Cayman you have to drive,... more

Just returned a couple days ago from the Grand Caymanian Resort. Was a bit nervous when we booked the resort, because of mixed reviews. After staying for a week at the resort, all I can say is that some people just complain about everything. We found the resort to be very very clean. We never saw so much as a... more

We booked a 3 night stay here on 2 days notice, staying Jan 1, 2 and 3. The resort is not on 7 mile beach and is about 2 miles or so away so if you want to be on 7 mile then this is not the place to stay. They are on the bay side which is fine if... more

This is not a five star resort. It is no where near a beach. It is built on rocks. You can not even access the ocean. We had to take a taxi everywhere we went and it cost almost $25 US everytime we went to dinner, so $50 in taxi's just to go to dinner. There was no shampoo/conditioner/lotion. Just... more

A 5 star resort? Ha! Ha! Who rated this place? Dumb & Blind? We spent the week of Nov 3rd at the resort as an excange of our Marriot time share. What a joke! I have been travelled for over 20 years all over the world and I rate this as a Motel with a nice room! Beach "FORGET IT... more

For starters, thanks to all for your reviews. They really help us get an understanding prior to traveling to a location. With that said, I will try and be as thorough as possible. We were a bit nervous about the Grand Caymanian, construction, etc prior to our arrival but to be honest, we did not care about any of that.... more

Check-in was time-consuming. They didn't have record of the reservation, though I kept showing them the confirmation email on my phone. Over an hour later, they found it. Request a room near the water on the third (top) floor. Our room was three buildings back, so no view, except side of the restaurant. Weather was especially windy the week we... more
