We just returned from our trip to the Westin on Grand Cayman. Like other reviewers, we thought the beach and the pool area were beautiful and the water is absolutely perfect. However, the actual hotel and room were mediocre. The rooms are spacious and we were upgraded to a view of the pool and ocean because we were Starwood Preferred... more

Just got back from our stay at the Westin. We arrived a little after 12pm and being an SPG Platinum member I was informed I'd be upgraded to an Oceanview room which was good news. The bad news is that it wasn't ready but as most reviews stated before I didn't really expect it to be. We stored our luggage... more

I have to agree with the many other reviewers who loved the location but was unimpressed with the hotel. If I didn't get the summer splash deal, I would have been pretty upset paying $300-400 a night for a hotel which really should be rated with 3 stars. The decor is so drab and institutional - it might have been... more

Although my family and I arrived at the hotel an hour before check in the staff at the Westin checked us in. When I made my reservations through Travelocity I wasn't aware that we were not guaranteed to get double beds in the two rooms that I reserved so that was a great concern of mine but while checking we... more

This trip was very exciting for me, seeing as it was planned for my engagement! My (now) fiance and I, along with my parents flew in from Houston. When we checked into the hotel, we were greeted by a gentlemen offering a fruity punch, which was nice. We were helped up to our room, by a resort staff member who... more

We went to the Westin in March for a week. Although it was a bit pricey - the $20 daily charge, which we thought was a bit much - the hotel itself was nice. When we arrived at our room, it didn;t have a balcony - so we went back down to reception and they moved us to one with... more

This hotel is nice....probably not as nice as tthe Ritz but the beach is really nice and lets face it who stays in there room on vaca anyway. The drinks here are also very good! It is very convenient for eating. Try Prime steakhouse which is in the shopping center across street. Also Eatz is good. We tried the Breakfast... more

This trip was primarily for diving therefore I never care what hotel I am staying in. This is my third time to Cayman and I love this island. I have stayed twice at Beach Club Colony and honestly for the price you pay at Beach Club Colony down the street, I think I would have rather stayed there all-inclusive with... more

I can add a few pros and cons to the other reviews: Pros: *Beautiful wide and long beach (but minimal shade). *Good beach snorkeling, with notably large fish, just adjacent to the hotel in front of the Governor's home. *Clean rooms. *Close proximity to "Eats" restaurant across the street Cons: * The hotel is a bit "tired": the decor is... more

After reading the most recent review, I decided to write in my experience at the hotel. Honestly, I think the hotel and the staff in general was what made my experience there such an great one... If i had an issues with the room it was taken care of immediately and the staff made me feel very comfortable staying there..... more
