I have never stayed overnight but the property is a bit tired and showing it's age. I have dived with them a few times but after the last one, I won't be back. The divemasters run hot and cold. On two occasions they have been snippy and just plain rude. On another occasion, they couldn't have been friendlier and more... more

What is great about Sunset House is it caters for every diver type and their non diving family. It's not a 5 star hotel (we stayed at the Marriot on Seven Mile Beach and it cost a small fortune beware GC is expensive) but at Sunset House the rooms are nice and clean and its much more affordable. Gear is... more

Sunset House is celebrating their 50th year, and although the resort is somewhat dated, it is a pleasant resort with all the amentities. Designed primarily for divers, it has an excellent and popular restaurant with great service, good food, and a great location and view of the ocean. Great french fries and pasta, although drink refills would have been nice.... more

Grand Cayman is ridiculously expensive and i needed to spend just one night there. The Sunset House feels a little old, but it's clean and tidy. There is a rooster that will wake you in the morning and a ton of divers telling fish stories down at the bar. I wasn't there to dive, but did go directly out of... more

As others have said, there's no other reason to stay here, and you'll be disappointed if you're not a diver. No beach, small (cold) pool. But we are divers, and enjoyed our stay enormously. The room was huge, the bed big too, plenty of space for all your gear. The bedspread was worn and you won't find 300 thread-count sheets... more

We arrived at Sunset House and had an easy check-in and an unexpected welcoming gift left for us in our room. Dee and Eve were very helpful from booking throughout our entire stay and checkout. The apartment we stayed in was simply furnished with all the basics we needed to be comfortable. The rooms were large and clean and the... more

We arrived much earlier then planned, not only did they take care of our luggage, checked us in early while we ate lunch but on our final day, they let us stay late into the afternoon. They were more then willing to accommodate our special travel plans and never let us feel as if we were imposing on their generosity. Outside... more

We stayed at the Sunset House before we boarded the Cayman Aggressor and then again after we came back from the Aggressor. They were so hospitable and willing to accommodate our needs. Our room was beautiful and the restaurant on site was extremely good. The bar/restaurant was frequented by many local folks and we were made to feel right at... more

Sunset House is set up for divers. Dive lockers are provided to store your gear right by the dive shop. I rented my BC ($10) and regulator ($15 which also came with a dive computer), I thought the prices were reasonable. Tom and Andy were super as dive masters. I appreciated their attention to safety and conservative diving. They would... more

This was my 2nd visit back to Grand Cayman and staying at the Sunset House. The rooms are clean and neat (and hell, you only need a bed and shower when on vacation right?). The Bar and restaurant has probably the most reasonable prices on the island for its services. The dive operation is good, although the divemasters seemed rather... more
