We have been coming to this lovely pub for several years, this year we stayed at the Cadwgan for a few nights and what a lovely experience. As always Adam, Karan and the staff can't do enough for us, the food is home made, great breakfast and evening meal. Fantastic play area for the children, thank you for a lovely... More

The defining memory of our visit here was nothing to do with the food but the truly appalling service from a female member of staff ("ex-RAF" apparently...) who made it clear that everything we were asking (about the food, drinks) was far too much trouble. No smile, no friendliness, and no awareness of the expectations of twenty-first century customer service... More

We didn't stay, but did stop for a Sunday carvery. Super friendly staff. Food ok pub grub. Reasonable children's menu. Overall good value. We'd happily go back if we were in the area. Not worth a detour though.

Such a lot to choose from as not only do they have their regular menu but there's a whole lot of specials on the board by the bar. The gardens are manicured and get the early evening sunshine which is great. The trio of burgers is a real treat.

Had an avarage meal here. Nice outside seating and air conditioned on the inside. Good selection of bar drinks and all the usual bar meals. Friendly service. Very clean toilets. Chunky chips great, chicken burger no so much, too much pepper taste rather than herbs and spice. I'd prefer a plate please rather than a chopping board for serving. This... More

Stayed at this hotel for the wedding of a friend in the area. The manager Adam was friendly and helpful from signing in to leaving. As we were unable to get a taxi he drove us in his own car, picked us up after the ceremony and dropped us to the reception. Nothing at all was too much trouble. The... More

As a couple with two small children, we were delighted to stumble across the Cadwgan on an afternoon wander. Obviously well maintained, the garden area was well equipped for children and with plenty of outdoor seating for the adults. We didn't eat there as we had already made plans for dinner, but the beer was well kept and refreshing, and... More

Called in and reserved a table for 7 of us. Arrived at 7pm ordered food and was told a 30 minute wait. Food arrived at 8.15. Kids subsequently past eating, fed up and tired. Regarding the food. I would say average. They said the reason was that they where busy. Well I'd hate to see the wait if they where... More

My daughter and I made the mistake of asking the barmaid about the children's menu item listed as chicken chunks. She obviously took exception to being asked and proceeded to be about as rude and obstructive as I have encountered by anyone working in catering, apart perhaps from Parisian waiters who are in a class of their own. There was... More
