Seriously, we can't say enough about how great the Reef Resort is to us. It was our second trip back to Grand Cayman and the Reef Resort. We couldn't stay anywhere else. We stayed in a smaller room this time. First we booked the studio suite which was nice but not our thing. The door in between suites was paper... more

This place is perfect especially if you are looking for a smaller, away from "hotel row", romantic resort. We had a 1-bedroom suite with a full kitchen on the first floor. We stayed in a newer section of the resort (Room 123A). The room was nicely furnished with DVD/CD player, two chairs, sofa, dining room table for six, etc., and... more

I think I figured out the key to a wonderful stay at the Reef. We booked this hotel after reading all the rave reviews on tripadvisor and expected the same. At check-in, my husband asked the desk clerk if they could do anything special since we were celebrating my 30th birthday while we were there. The clerk asked if we... more

My wife and I stayed for a week in mid April. Pros: We found the staff and especially the concierges very helpful acquainting us with the island. The Red Sail dive shop at Morritts, next door, provided a wonderful afternoon with the Stingrays. Good snorkeling under the piers for beginners. The food at the restaurant was average, though we only... more

We visited Cayman and The Reef Resort for the first time and can't wait to return! It was a true vacation. Relaxing and peaceful with many options for excursions and activities. The service at The Reef was outstanding from the front desk to the concierge services, to the waitstaff, it was phenomenal. Our room was beautiful as was our view!... more

I just returned from a stay at The Reef Resort in Grand Cayman 4/11-4/19. I booked thru Expedia and i think got a good deal. Here are some quick thoughts on my visit in no particular order......the beaches are beauiful. ....water is amazing w/ several shades of blue.. ...driving on the left side of road is no big deal. the... more

My impression is that the Reef has lost some of its refinement over the past 4 years. We stayed in a studio and were amazed at the poor sound insulation. The flimsy single partition door that separated our studio from the adjoining suite wasn't nearly enough to block the noise. And so we were awakened each morning by the clatter... more

This resort is so good to rest and relax at that I don’t want to give away the secret… a little gem in the Caribbean… certainly our paradise found. We have been vacationing throughout the Caribbean for the past 25 years and this small resort is one of our favorites. The staff are always friendly and most helpful, the resort... more

We stayed here for five nights in March 2008. A timeshare/condo complex in the remote East End, each unit is beachfront and faces Colliers Bay. You definitely need a car as the hotel is 45 minutes away from the airport. We stayed here for five nights, and we had a first floor Deluxe Ocean View Studio unit that was approximately... more

We have been going to The Reef for seven years. It is a wonderful resort. Very quiet and laid back, which is what we look for on vacation. The staff is friendly and accomodating. The units are clean and well equipped. We always look forward to our next visit to the Reef and recommend it to all our friends. more
