We spent two weeks here and can't wait to go back next year. You must snorkel with the sting rays. Fantastec reef snorkling trips too. We were there with our daughter, son-in-law and the 3 yr. old grandbaby. Everyone loved it. You do need a car though if you want to do some sightseeing and shopping. Grocery store is a... more

We spent 6 nights n Unit 19. Myself, my wife and our two kids (7&5). Location is beautiful and remote. There is space, quiet and beauty. The beach is small, but pristine and well-maintained. This is a "get away from it all" place. You need a car if you are going to stay here. The units are big and very... more

I've been to Rum Point before during the day with my ex-girlfriend who lives in the island and it was a fun place during the day, great bar, plently of activities and a great gift shop. To my surprise after taking an afternoon nap I woke to find the place totally shut down, the bars and restaurants close at 5pm,... more

After staying 5 nights at the Westin on Seven Mile Beach (both which were nicer than I anticipated), we spent 4 wonderful days on the quiet Northside at the Retreat. Being summer and since not all of the units are rented, it was a great change of pace to a more subdued and beautiful location (IMO). We stayed in a... more

I am hesitant to write a review, because I would like to keep this place a secret. If you're looking for a lot of activity, this is not the place for you. It is a 45 minute ride to the airport and a 30 minute ride to the east side of the island. Definitely rent a car - and try... more

Hi We just spent 6 days at the Retreat. We had been to Grand Cayamn before in 2000 so chose it knowing it as a peaceful, tranquil place for a couples vacation...and we decided to get married there too. The place was wonderful, the staff very accomodating and the quality of accommodation first class. To cap it all we arrived... more

The "Sea Breeze" condo (as named by its owner, google: Carol Oksness) is the perfect place to stay if you're looking for that off-the-beaten-path, laid-back place to stay in Grand Cayman. We (two couples) stayed at Carol's place the first week of November, and the place was excellent (although the weather wasn't at first.) The Condo: The condo looks exactly... more

We just returned from spending 4 nights at The Retreat at Rum Point. If you want to be in a quiet, secluded place away from 7 Mile Beach, this is the place. We stayed in condo #14 on the ground floor. It was large and lovely with new furnishings. We loved having breakfast out on the screened porch. There is... more

The Retreat at Rum Point is located in the most beautiful, tranquil area of Grand Cayman. We have stayed there on 33 visits and can't wait to go back in the spring. The condos were damaged from hurricane Ivan, but are being remodeled and will be even better than before. This place is truly paradise!! more
