We can during the shoulder season, so weren't surprised and can't complain of the repairs/landscaping going on. Be aware that if you stay here, you will want to rent a car to travel... The resort is off by itself. There isn't really a beach and the swimming isn't great (weeds). That said, the staff were very sweet. Loved the access... More

Second trip here - Worst experience EVER trying to check into this hotel - took over 45 minutes to find our reservation and to top it off we never received an apology or even a statement that it would get worked out. The ladies at the front desk are absolutely unattentive and either incredibly STUPID or horrendously INEPT. If you... More

Just got back from a week at this resort. Upon arrival, greetings from the staff were very average. No offer to assist us with luggage. No basic orientation to the property and the island. The fitness center was very poor. Four machines--one did not work. No free weights. In this day and age, you would think that any serious resort... More

I tagged along my husband on a dive trip last week May 4-10th 2012. We got a good deal through the dive company in our USA location. The owner/founder arranges these trips for both students to be certified and for divers such as my husband. I stayed at the resort for most of the morning until he returns. The resort... More

My husband and I just got back from staying a week at the Grand Caymanian Resort. We loved it. We stayed an additional two nights on Seven Mile Beach, so we can really compare the two. The Grand Caymanian is much quieter, with FAR LESS people, which was wonderful for us. The beach, obviously does not compare to SMB, and... More

We own a time share at this resort and have been back every year since 2006. If you're looking for a quiet time rather than the party atmosphere of 7 mile beach, this is the right place. The down side is, you have to have a rental car. The resort provides shuttle service, but is runs on a schedule and... More

If you want to be near any life....this is not the place. The taxi ride to town is not short. The positive is that the hotel is very affordable. Rooms are clean.....not necessarily quiet if your room faces the inner courtyard but still clean. Not sure to be honest why you would stay here if you are visiting Grand Cayman.....yes... More

I traveled at the end of March for scuba diving. This hotel is in an out-of-the-way location and really requires that you have a car if you want to get anywhere. The room was nice and a good size and it was quiet and relaxed. Although I heard some complaints about service, I thought it was excellent. I was told... More

The rooms are large. The convenience of taking jet skis to Stingray City was great. The free dive skills in the pool was wonderful. It was difficult to find-get good directions! We would stay again!!!!

The advantages are that the small resort is in a quiet location on the north shore, the staff are all very nice and you can save on meal expenses by using the kitchen in your unit to prepare your own meals. However, it is in a very isolated location and the hotel shuttle bus charges are very high, so you... More
