The cottage was basic but very nice and much like the rest of the island. Road are mostly sand but there is really no need for a car except perhaps a day ride around the island. It is very rural and certainly not for those who want ANY action. Restaurants close unless you call before 4 pm and order, for example. Beaches are very private and quiet. Very seldom saw anyone except a few off a yacht occassionally. Cow Wreck bar was great and met Sir Richard Branson there who owns the neighboring Necker Island. A place to get away from it all, that is for sure. The cottages are right on the beach which is beautiful but no snorkling there. Had to go across island for snorkling at Flash of Beauty and Loblolly. Good restaurant about 100 yards down beach from cottage. more
