I highly suggest a visit to the Relais San Maurizio. My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in April 2015, and I think we both wish it had been a week. The front desk staff was prompt with e-mails in advance to set up our stay. In person, they were able to help schedule transportation to the nearby... More

What a beautiful place - stayed here three years ago and woke up this morning thinking about this place. Stayed here while on a Backroads biking trip through Piedmont. Great rooms, great grounds and views of the surrounding area. Just a beautiful and peaceful place. The restaurant is excellent and they have an amazing wine list. Sommelier was extremely helpful... Love the hotel, love to be pampered and don't mind spending money but cannot stand stuffy unfriendly people. This hotel is gorgeous and the facility and rooms as well but I wonder what goes on behind the scenes for the people to be so unfriendly...maybe overworked? Either way, love it but if there was another one in the area maybe... More

A nice summer lunch in the Monestry's enclosed garden, on top of a beautiful hill top. In the basement they have a Michelin Star restaurant and a great Spa. The views of the rolling hills are very Nice and the atmosphere relaxing and elegant.

This is a truly exceptional property. It is located in a former hilltop monastery and everything is spectacular - the spa, the restaurant, the rooms, the service, the grounds and the location. I share the view of other reviewers that such tip top hospitality comes at a steep price, but if you are bent on a splurge, this is the... More

As a weeding gift we spend weekend at Relais San Maurizio. This is one of the best gifts ever! We thank our good friend Piero for this magical experiencie. The atmoshpere is relaxing and elegant. The property is in a hillside surrounded by vineyards, inside is cozy and it has a great indoor pool with turquish bath and spa. Dinner... More

The hotel grounds are beautiful and it is a very charming piece of property. We stayed in a junior suite (105) as my daughter was travelling with us and she had a comfortable little room, off our main room which had a sofa bed in it - The bathrooms are very small though and it was very hard to maneuver... Great location, beautiful grounds and views. Had a very relaxing time here. The room was lovely. Shower was a little small though. The breakfast was good. I would come back here just to relax! Convenient to have a great restaurant (Guido) on its premises and we had dinner there 2 nights.

We live in the area and sadly have taken far too long to visit San Maurizio...what a mistake! The hotel is stunning, we went for Aperitivos on my birthday and had the best Gin and Tonics ever, mine had rosebuds and my husbands peppercorns thyme and spice to accentuate the flavours of the different gins of which they have an... The hotel is situated at the top of a mountain, surrounded by gorgeous vineyards. We were there in early November and the mountains were shrouded with clouds. One of the most beautiful locations ever. The hotel itself is nice, rustic and somewhat dated and could use a makeover. The rooms are small but charming. The restaurant Guido is fantastic. It...
