The villas were nice and had enough room for a family of 6. Views were the best part of the room. Housekeeping did not show up for 2 of the 4 days. Beach was very clean and great beach bar. The rest of the dining choices should be avoided. Front desk was helpful but concierge desk was only interested in... More

Check in should not take 45 minutes. And when you get to your room, it should not be filthy. When you call the front desk (because nobody answers at housekeeping) the representative shouldn't respond that, "somebody will clean it by tonight." When the maid shows up, it shouldn't take over 75 minutes to clean the room. Have these people worked... More

As we stepped out of the taxi we were greeted with smiles till we left. Everyone is pleasant and helpful. The resort itself is very well kept and while our plan was to rent a vehicle we opted to relax in the resort. The restaurants will be rested in another review. I read some reviews about the resort being too... More

Our 1st time stay here and we will return again. We got upgraded to a 1bdroom which was very nice of them to do. We were up at the top of the hill, not sure if that is the Villa area. The view couldn't have been more amazing. You could see everywhere. The new bridge is gorgeous at night time.... More

This was not our 1st time staying here and will not be our last. I just love this property..We were way up on the hill. We had a car so no problem. We actually walked a couple times. We have stayed in the older units and this time we had a new 1 bedroom unit. It was lovely. This propery... More

I was a bit nervous given the difference in comments. However, even prior to arriving the resort and Pedro Sanchez Alcocer were amazing. It was a surprise getaway for my boyfriend and all of my request were met. I asked for an ocean view with a king size bed - the room we got was on the 1st level and... More

We booked this on Expedia with flights included. We got a first floor Jr suite facing the Bay/Marina which is newer. Pool area right outside room. We could see some of the Hurricane damage around the property. Little dining at hotel but good spots within walking distance. We like the Aqua Mania trips that were available. The $15 pp cruise... We arrived in St Maarten a day early for a week long catamaran cruise and stayed at this resort. The drive from the airport was hectic and the buildings we passed along the way had us worried about the quality of the resort we had booked. We were pleasantly surprised when we pulled in and checked into the resort. The... More

We stayed in the F (Flamboyant) units that are not renovated. Think average Caribbean timeshare on beach in paradise—with minor damage from recent hurricane. (The photos underscore this dichotomy.) St. Maarten cannot be measured against hotels in the USA. Here are some details: BEDROOM/LIVING ROOM: Very comfy & firm king bed, adequate but outdated wicker furniture, small A/C unit keeps... what was at one-time the pelican, is the simpson bay resort and marina. the difference between the 2 is dramatic. recently renovated to reflect upscale living:. not 1 complaint on the 1 bedroom unit, remarkably good!!!!!! the only complaints would be the check in process and the narrow roadways within the resort vs cars parked outside some units, tight.
