PMR is the new building addition to the older Pelican Resort; I stayed at the Pelican Resort last summer. The accomodations at PMR were spacious, clean and nicely appointed. All villas in PMR face the bay, so there isn't a bad room in the complex. It is ideally located: close to the airport, restaurants, etc. It is situated mid-way between... more

My husband and I went back to St. Maarten for our second visit in June 2009. We made the mistake of booking our trip through Hotels.com who advertises that studio rooms, whether standard or deluxe, have garden, pool, ocean, or bay views. I wanted to be certain that we had a view of the water - why travel all that... more

I give this resort 4 stars not the best, but the the worst at all. Yes, needs updating in the decor department but i found it very clean. Did not have a problem with housekeeping once a week because we had plenty backup on sheets and towels. Restaurants are nothing to brag about. Alexandria is the better food and better... more

We found this resort to be okay. Rooms definitely need updating. We didn't like the Maid only coming once a week; you can get the maid to come more, but have to pay. We weren't impressed with Ciao, the Italian Restaurant. We like Alexanders, it was reasonable and had great home cooked food. We didn't like the "Happy Hour" at... more

Quote from my wife>>> "I would not stay here if someone paid me." Me, on the other hand, I would have considered staying if someone paid me. We visited the B building and was greeted by a baby cock roach. Needless to say we agreed to do a 2 hour timeshare presentation which included a free breakfast to get a... more

We stayed at The Pelican for five nights while in St. Maarten. My wife and I traveled with our son who was moving to the island to attend school. We found the front desk personel to be efficient, not friendly, but professional. The maids and maintaince people were quick, friendly and very good at their jobs. When we requested extra... more

Pelican Resort was nice. The location of our unit A1A-B (1bedroom and kitchen down and 1 bedroom kitchen up with connecting stairs inside unit and outside unit) was great. The Peli-Deli store and French Bakery were close and excellent. We (husband and 21 yr old son) did not mind the hills and short walk to the beach. Beach and pools... more

My husband and I recently traveled to Anguilla and St Maarten for a week getaway before the arrival of our first child. While we were pampered in luxury at Cap Juluca for our first two nights spent on Anguilla, our last 5 nights at Pelican were such a disappointment I wanted to leave the island all together! First let me... more

Was upgraded from my one bedroom in the Marina Building to a two bedroom in the new Pelican Marina Residences for the promotional rate of $299. It was well worth spending the money.(Instead of having to sleep on a pull out, my guests had a their own room with bath.) These new buildings are energy efficient. All are facing the... more
