Stayed at this resort for a wedding near by. Not overly fancy, but very clean excellent staff service. Opted for included breakfast, excellent selection, great food. You need to rent a car to fully explore the island. Most beaches are driving distance, except for Baie Rouge, beautiful beach 30 mins walk up the(busy) road. You can stand on the side... more

This hotel is on the border of the Dutch/French border. The water in not swimable in the lagoon. It was full of green algee and weeds. The beach was clean and so was the pool, but nothing fancy. Most of the staff speak French and are not that helpful. There were 2 young girls that were manager trainees that tried... more

This hotel, with a primarily European clientele, is located about 5 miles from the Juliana Airport. We found the room to be quiet and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was fantastic! Our only complaint -- low water pressure in the shower. We used the tennis court daily, and the hotel offered equipment free of charge. All hotel staff spoke English. We... more

We just returned to cold, damp Philly yesterday and are planning our return to sunny St. Martin and Le Flamboyant next Spring Break with the family. Beach on the lagoon is perfect for little kids and all sorts of activities for the adults, even just sitting and drinking mudslides. We opted for St. Martin rather than Sint Maarten because we... more

My son and I stayed at the Flamboyant this past week. Well, for starters, instead of having 2 double beds in the room, there were 2 small beds pushed together. This was unacceptable to us but there wasn't much we could do. The beds were about a foot off the floor and in poor condition. The 1 pillow we each... more

The hotel was situated on Nettle Bay in the centre of the island of St. Maarten. The hotel itself was clean and very friendly. We had an one bedroom suite which was quite quaint. The bedroom was separate from the bathroom and the toilet was in fact in another room all its own. There was a living room area which... more

I was comprehensive about staying here after reading some of the reports, but was pleasantly surprised. Check-in was a breeze, and we were taken to our room by golf cart. We had a suite on the first level right on beach. We could walk outside our room every day and get beach chairs under a palapa. The room was clean... more

Just came back from 2 weeks in the Caribbean and stayed 3 nights at the Flamboyant Hotel (and resort). St Martin (being the French part of the island) is very French. This said, there are quite a few Parisians which are known for being rude and only helpful because they must. One of these were a youngish woman which unfortunately... more

This is our third trip to St. Martin and also to this property. However, the last time here was in 1993 and we expected changes because of age. We were pleasantly surprised that the property has been nicely maintained and remains very clean. Because we were there in early January rather than March, it was very quiet with not a... more

This vacation was the first either of us had ever taken, so we were a bit unsure of what to expect. I did a lot of research online before going however, which I think helped (reviews have tons of great suggestions!)... Room: When we arrived, our room was not yet ready, so we had to stow our luggage in an... more
