We enjoyed the most juicy and crispy crust strone oven baked Pizza's! Great veggie pizza: Richly filled and topped. At Sea View Beach pool bar!! Highly recommended. On Valentine's Day they baked heart shaped pizza's: we loved those. For your kid soft ice at the bar. The shrimp wraps are also assome with any drink.

We live in St. Maarten and wanted to have a little birthday cake for our son at the new pool area, which has a premium location, nicest staff, great open spaces to chill, bar, and a deli style market just next to it, if you want a greater selection of food. It's a no brainer if you're visiting and want to have the choice of the beach or the pool at only 10$ per person. You must park away as usual being in front street with very limited public parking options but is worth it. Everything was spotless; we had a wonderful time

Best way to enjoy the “Beach” is here. No high pressure guys hawking chairs. Beautiful clean pool, great bar, clean restrooms, private cabana style rooms facing the pool and beach. $10 per person to use the pool area. $50 gets you a cabana room! Nicest staff we met on the island. From the ship take the water taxis. From drop off turn left very short walk to the hotel.

Anyone considering this hotel should know that currently (March - April 2023) it is undergoing a major renovation. The room and facility photos are not accurate and options are limited. Although located near several casual beach bars and restaurants the hotel has no restaurant of its own. That said, there is a very helpful and friendly staff - some of the best we've encountered - and the rooms and public spaces are spotless. However, until the new rooms, bar, pool and restaurant are ready, we would hesitate to stay there. Also, it should be mentioned that currently there are 2 flights of stairs to negotiate and no elevator. Looking forward to seeing the finished hotel located right on the beach in Philipsburg. With such an outstanding staff and the major upgrade it's bound to be a great choice. In the mean time, do some research to assess the current status.…

Hotel is under renovations, however the room we had was quite sufficient. Very reasonable rate for Philipsburg and very near the cruise port. The small Double Dutch restaurant out front is excellent, especially for breakfast croissants. Did have a problem at night getting hot water, but it was there in the morning. Hotel is located right on the beach with many restaurants nearby.

Currently under restoration having been sold to new owners during Covid, the Sea View remains an excellent and inexpensive place to overnight-or stay for several days as we did-when visitng St Martin. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to help; the rooms (we were in 50, facing the sea) are fully airconditioned with large bathrooms (with soap, shampoo and conditioner, ample towels); the bed had a new firm matress with comfy pillows and spotlessly white linen. Prices will doubtless go up once the work is finished, but at the moment the builders are only working 8-4 on the outside (putting in a pool) and on the extension rooms, so they are no bother. The Double Dutch Cafe on the front serves the best coffee you will find--better than in the fancy hotel down the boardwalk. You wont do better than the Sea View however much you pay.…

This hotel built in 1962 breathes old Caribbean style. It is right on the beach with loungebeds and parasols. We had a nice breakfast next door in a local restaurant on the Boardwalk where you find a variety of restaurants. Beautiful sunset, the view over Great Bay is breathtaking. The rooms are clean and have everything to accomodate a pleasant stay. The window shutters keep out the sun and noise. The bed is small, but very comfortable! The entrance is in the main shopping street and historical center of Philipsburg. Very fast Wi-Fi also in front of the Boardwalk. Friendly service and clean and safe in and outside of the hotel.

Meet very knowledgeable managers " Right on the beach, with own sun beds...The hotel was partly under renovation but it was not disturbing… It's a charmig, old fashion place with good value for money on S Maarten/St Martin.Accept, pls, birds singing until late evening... Advice. Book all your tours at the hotel reception through very knowledgeable managers and never through the internet or aggregators - avoid to lose your time and money (my own experience). This hotel works with some best tour agents and taxi drivers on the island!

Let's start with the positives, the location is fantastic with access to both Front Street and the Boardwalk. The breakfast is great value at $7 per person and is very nice. The hotel itself needs a bit of TLC. Also this property is unsuitable with anybody with mobility issues, it is accessed front and back by a flight of steps. It is near impossible to shut the doors quietly and the noise is heard all over the hotel. The worse problem we encountered were the staff, I never felt welcome and don't remember even seeing a smile. Philipsberg itself was a bit of a let down. The whole town shuts down when the cruise ships leave (about 7pm), also it is impossible to walk along without getting constantly harassed by jewellers, timeshare or trip sellers.

We stayed here for a week and had an ocean front room. Our room was exactly as pictured on line. This hotel is located on Front Street and the Boardwalk. It is very clean and well maintained. The staff is excellent and very friendly. It is also a very safe place to stay, we enjoyed ourselves with the beach right outside the court yard. The hotel location is very convenient to all the shopping and restaurants.
