This was our 3rd year staying here and I still can't say enough about it. The owners and staff are fantastic. The rooms have been updated and are very comfortable. I would say that this is one of the best prices on the island for a very clean hotel that has updated furniture and great staff along with a pool.... More

This hotel is not located next to a beach, or within walking distance to attractions, but the cost is reasonable, the rooms are clean, everything you need including a kitchen, and the staff is very helpful.

Great little family-run hotel in a convenient location. Nice little pool set in pretty gardens. In-room kitchenette and a mini supermarket 200 yards away. The staff were helpful, particularly Samatha on the front desk. Easy access to main road, leading to many beaches and shopping locations. Would definitely go back there again.

I recently stayed at L'Esperance for seven nights and enjoyed my time there. Firstly, it is excellent value. I can't imagine you will find many other places on SXM of comparable quality for the $90/night that I paid. The rooms are clean and spacious. There are separate living room/kitchen and bedroom areas which give the feel of staying in a... More

The one good thing I can say about this hotel is that it is one of the cheaper hotels in St. Maarten. I think the rooms could use a little more maintenance. It had a kitchen and living room. The bed was comfortable however. I did not like the fact that the TV was in the living room and not in... More

We have stayed here twice and each time it is worth it. Good internet, swimming pool, clean rooms, nice staff and very helpful. The owner is a sailor and has a race boat. it is close to the big grocery store and the price was always a good deal.

We chose L'Esperance for the price. We only needed a room for one night before our dive trip began and didn't want to spend money for more than just a comfortable night's sleep. PROS: very clean room large, comfy bed spacious living area with kitchen - refrigerator, microwave and stove helpful front desk staff beautiful outdoor areas kept immaculately clean... More

Our first impression of the hotel was a little skewed, based on the fact that it took us some time to find it and the location seemed a little iffy. We knew we were not near a beach but this seemed to be in a residential area and most of the surrounding area was a little seedy. As it turned... More

This hotel is located in a residential area which a lot of people haven't been to. However, it's not to tough to find. This was our 3rd visit to this lovely little gem. The owners and staff are amazing and very friendly. If you want to visit Sint Maarten on a budget and don't care if you aren't staying on... More

L'Esperance Hotel is a lovely place to stay when visiting St. Maarten. We went on a holiday to the island in October of this year and found that we had booked the right hotel for us since we prefer small-scale, homely places. We felt very much at home indeed because of the flowery patio with swimming pool and the rooms... More
