Recently stayed at Royal Islander for the first leg of my trip. I enjoy this resort for its location. I chose not to rent car because I am comfortable using public transportation. It is not spacious or at times roomy, but it is efficient. The resort's location allowed me the freedom to walk to most of my desired destinations. The... More

Royal Islander Club la Plage - went here with my sweetheart as a birthday getaway and had a great time. Beautiful beaches and great people. I highly recommend renting a car since you will easily be able to see the entire island at your own leisure. Night life isn't bad. Just make sure you make plans for Fri-Sun no real... More

Physically La plate is maintained and in better conditions than some places I've been too. The location has some pluses and minuses. + on the beach+ easy to get to + great pool -noisy (and not for the reasons you might think) - some things don't work as well as they could. The most obvious downside is the noise at... More

When planning this vacation, I wrote to them and had the pleasure of emailing back and forth with Lucy...what a gem she is, prompt in returning emails and very eager to please. Since it is a RCI exchange, she could not assure us of our room but wow what a room we got. We overlooked the pool and Maho Bay... More

We have been going to Royal Islander for the past six years. As stated by others, it is located near to many restaurants, casino, supermarket, beach bars ,etc. No need for a car if you do not want one. What we LOVE,LOVE, LOVE about the resort is the afternoon time, lounging in the beach chairs, with a cocktail, munchies, reading... More

Location, location, location! 5 min. away from airport so no need to arrange transportation. Royal Islander is literally steps away. Beach, restaurants, club, bars, casino, ATM, Supermarket, stores, even a SPA. You also have public transportation available($1.50 a ride), which is great because you are only 10 min. away from Simpson's Bay. Rooms are great, very spacious, kitchen nicely equipped,... More

This is a GREAT place to stay!!! A girlfriend and I spent the week of May 10th through the 17th. It is in a great location and we always felt safe going out in the evenings. It is within walking distance to just about everything you need, groceries, liquor, casino, nightclubs, restaurants and shopping, but I still recommend getting a... More

We just love the Royal Islander Club La Plage! The people here are so friendly...it's within walking distance to some great restaurants and night life...you can choose the sand beach with chairs and umbrellas, or the HUGE beautiful pool area right on the grounds! Hamburgers are delicious at their beach cafe "Tortuga", and the "island drinks" are fab! The rooms... More
