My husband and I did a lot or research before deciding to go to St. Lucia for our honeymoon, and before choosing Ladera. Here is the straight skinny. You really need to be honest with yourself about what you like. Ladera is in a lovely location, has a terrific chef and restaurant--Dasheene--and a very willing to please staff. The view... more

My husband and I just returned from celebrating our 20 yr anniversary in St. Lucia. We spent the first 4 nights at Sandals Grande and then ended our trip with 2 nights at Ladera. This place was absolutely breathtaking! We were in constant amazement the entire 2 days. The property is so unique and really is located in the most... more

The best sunset I have ever seen was viewed from our villa. An amazing night sky with millions of stars was viewed from our villa. A magical rainbow in front of the pitons was viewed from our villa. Morning, afternoon and evening swims in our very private pool. Yoga on the second floor of our villa looking over the pitons.... more

My husband and I only stayed there for 2 nights but we enjoyed exceptional service with an unbelievale view. Def. not for everyone due to the missing wall. My husband was leery at this but enjoyed it in the end. I loved it and thought it was so different. The staff is very friendly but the main reason you stay... more

The idea of a hotel with the fouth wall missing, sounded unusual and cool and for these reasons I forced by husband to book :) It is very expensive so I knew they had alot to do to live upto my expectations. We arrived on a Wednesday after a long and windy drive from the airport in the north of... more

I've traveled extensively and this is the perfect stay for those looking for a quirky place in a lush setting, with gorgeous views, away from the beaten path of all inclusive swim up bar 500 room resorts. For those who want to be pampered in air conditioned luxury, with free drinks, and every amenity taken care of, this is not... more

No one has mentioned the odor from the Sulfur Springs....were we the only ones to smell it every night when the breeze shifted?? I agree with other writers about not being able to get a good night's rest with the noise and mosquitos, not to mention the rotton egg smell. There was only one place to eat unless you went... more

We chose this hotel based on the reviews and location. It appears the Americans love this hotel, but for those of us who travel regularly and extensively it does'nt compare to hotels in this price range accross the world. The view is magnificent, the food is excellent and the staff are very friendly and efficient. Above and beyond that this... more

We went on an 8-day honeymoon to Ladera at the beginning of May and absolutely loved it. I wanted to write a review simply to pay homage to the fantastic staff and acting manager Holly Scott. By now any reader knows about the missing wall, the expectations of the service being at Caribbean speed and not Manhattan speed, and the... more
