The beach is absolutely stunning, the water is clean and clear. The best snorkelling in the island. We stayed in an old (not yet renovated) villa very near the beach. Yes, the furniture is a bit tired but the rooms are spacious and clean and you don't spend much time in the villa anyway. The food was exceptional and was... more

Jalousie is undergoing extensive rebuilding which when complete may raise the standard of accommadation more in line with their prices. Unfortunately for current guests the high charges are not matched by the existing facilities. All bills are subject to an obligatory service charge but this does not stop them presenting all chits with the expectation of a tip. Service is... more

I cannot imagine what one could possibly find wrong with this resort. It is in a beautiful spot (the best in St Lucia), with good snorkelling and close to most main attractions. Simply walking around admiring the vegetation would fill several days. The place is original, elegant and immaculately maintained but without a hint of snobbery, quite the opposite, I... more

My girlfriend and I just got back to Canada from a wonderful 7 day oasis in St Lucia. Our only regret is that we did't stay longer at The Jalousie Plantation. First of all I want to warn you that there is construction ongoing and it does come into play. The Villas are laid out in series 100-900. 100 being... more

Beautiful views, beautiful beach, beautiful rooms, beautiful resort. Definitely agreed that this is the best hotel for location. Not the most convenient of locations so I do not recommend renting a car unless you are very brave. We stayed at two hotels (the other was Coconut Bay, also very nice!) so we did and it was certainly an adventure. We... more

There are lots of other reviews of this hotel so I am not going to spend too much time on it. The food is completely over priced so unless you are on all inclusive it is better to try an eat out. We had breakfast on one day and it was just not worth it - especially as we are... more

Good Day, Having come across your comments I am left rather disillusioned to know that your stay was ruined by such less than adequate experience and other areas that did not meet and exceed your expectations. We are dedicated to guests’ satisfaction and are genuinely concerned with each guest’s experience. The awareness of constructive feedback is never disregarded but instead...

Yes it's expensive- we knew that before we went but we wanted something special and that's what we got! I would second all the positive comments on this site regarding the location and friendliness of the staff. We were wonderfully looked after and had a beautiful, relaxing time with great food, drinks and watersports. The snorkeling at the marine reserve... more

My partner and l are Jalousie addicts. There, l've said it! This was our fourth visit, but that is nothing compared with many of the people we have met there. There were people who have been 19 times, some who go every other month. The reasons are not hard to understand. First and foremost it is the location. As every review... more

I had decided to go to Santa Lucia- my first solo holiday and first time in the Caribbean. I was introduced to The Jalousie Plantation by the very friendly St. Lucian lady at the London Luxury Travel Fair. My brief was: I am a hotel owner myself. I am tired and would like a very green and very quiet location... more

My daughter, partner and I stayed at Jalousie in April along with a larger party of our extended family. It was fantastic. The place is gorgeous, the staff were so friendly and helpful and we were made to feel very welcome indeed. We found the all inc package most suited to our needs as if you do anything less, the... more
