I stayed with some friends in Soufriere for one week and we went one morning to have breakfast at the Hummingbird Beach Resort. We were asked in a rude manner what we wanted to drink even before the orders. Then, we were brought plates of fruit and only after that we could ask what to order. Half of the breakfast... More

For the price this is a great place to stay. It could use updating but the grounds are beautiful with tons of hummingbirds flying around. It's also right on the beach and it was fun to walk up and down the beach during the day and at night. The hotel is also within walking distance to many restaurants downtown. The... More

Wow, put this restaurant on our list to stop here for lunch in December. We were sadly disappointed. The service was the slowest we experienced in St. Lucia. We ordered lunch for 6 of us. We were the only ones in the restaurant. We ordered hamburgers for 4 and a fish dish for two others: It took 50 minutes to... More

Beautiful setting with great view from the restaurant. Food was tasty and portions a good size but be prepared for a wait 'island time'. Cannot comment on the hotel itself as only visited the restaurant on this occasion.

We stayed at hummingbird beach resort for 2 days out of 7days in St Lucia. The resort is quaint and sports a great view of piton. If you are looking for staying in Soufriere, this place is nice and cheaper than many other options. It's very close to downtown and other attractions. We read good restaurant reviews on tripadvisor, but... More

We weren't originally booked into the Hummingbird Resort, we had booked into an apartment just round the corner but our taxi driver ( we had come from Rodney Bay) couldn't find it and we were early for check in so he dropped us at the Hummingbird and we had a drink in their bar while we waited. The bar staff... More

Upon landing in Vieux Fort, we rented a Mitsubishi Lancer and drove an hour north to the charming 10-room Hummingbird Beach Resort. Nestled into an overgrown hillside, the secluded and intimate hotel offers a spectacular view of Petit Piton and a welcome Old Caribbean ambiance. Hummingbirds (of course), banaquits, mourning doves and butterflies enliven the lush tropical gardens. Basketball-sized green... More

Hummingbird is probably a very good buy at this island where prices generally are high. The architecture is nice and the location on the beach is great. There are some quite minor issues in the rooms (I couldn't open the window, there was a water boiler but no tea or coffee..what do you want it for then..?) but rooms are... More

Yes, the view and location can not be beat. The staff is very accomadating and sweet. But our room was infested with bed bugs. Room 9 is dark as is most of the resort. After I complained about bed bugs..... after 3 nights.....I just couldn't believe it could be so, the OWNER told me it must be sand flea bites,... More

I stayed one night at the Hummingbird Beach Resort on a business trip. The room is very quaint, no A/C but the ceiling fan and isolating floor fan made for a comfortable sleep. The bathroom is something that you would expect from an old cottage, but it did the job just fine. The entire BEAUTY of this location can make... More
