Like the last reviewer has said, the General Manager left during our visit and things may improve. Good points: our room (312) had a nice sea view and had been recently refurbished with two double beds, flat screen TV, comfortable patio furniture, corner shower, backlit mirror in the bathroom etc. Our room was kept very clean. Drinks on the all... More

This hotel may improve in future as it will be under new management but at present could not give it a rating of more than average. There is not a lot of choice of menus and the maid service is not the best. For example, they provide a jug of milk in the bungalows which one would assume was changed... More

Sorry, but I can't agree with the other reviews I've just read. This is a hotel for the 65+ age group who want to go to the Caribbean but don't want the true Caribbean experience. The website is not inaccurate - the hotel is on the top of a hillside. The pool is small and the gardens are not nearly... More

First visit to the Caribbean and having been spoilt with the accommodation, service and facilities at Buccament Bay arriving here was rather a let down. Having said that the holiday was a success as there was good company from other solo travellers. My main dislike was the location of the Hotel. You depended on the shuttle bus which was on a... More

This was my first visit to the Caribbean and I was not disappointed. Due to flight delays it was already dark when I arrived at the Bel Jou in the beautiful warm evening to be greeted by a welcome drink and the sound of the little frogs 'beeping' as they did every night. I loved the view across the garden... More

The Bel Jou is set overlooking Castries, the capital of St. Lucia. We stayed on an all inclusive holiday with Saga. The rooms are spacious, no extra charge for singles, and provided an umbrella, binoculars, loads of wonderful smellies - shampoo, shower gel and coconut moisturiser and thick towels. The grounds are delightful - lovely flowers, birds and noisy tree... More

We have just returned from staying at the Bel Jou, having looked forward to this only hotel owned by Saga, no children at all and a taste of the Caribbean. What an expensive let down, it was cheaper going to The Maldives this time last year, and the staff and food was 100% better. As other 'reviewers' have mentioned the... More

Stayed for 2 weeks in January and we agree with all the reviews. The hotel is excellent with stunning views. The food is superb, the staff very friendly and helpful. A special mention for Ian the Saga rep who is quite simply amazing. Whatever Saga are paying him.....double it ! There is lots to do. As well as the included... More

My husband and I went to the Bel Jou in November to celebrate my 50th birthday. After a pleasant flight with B A we decided to take the helicopter to the hotel. We had booked an Owners Suite for our 2 week stay. We were disappointed in the room and thought it was NOT worth the extra £700 especially as... More
