my father and i just got back from the bel jou went for two weeks, 17/6/2014 to 1/7/2014, we were really dissappointed as we had read so many good reports, we found that their was not a very good selection of food on the salad bar at any meal time or any selection on yogurts/fruit at breakfast, the lunch and... I had a thorough tour round this hotel while in St.Lucia and would just say it is not the side of the island I would want to stay. Think Saga have bought a white elephant as the building is very old and you are virtually cut off from the tourist areas. However, to each his own, but would not stay... More

The hotel is on the hill and the drive up to it is a wee bit hairy but once in the hotel reception you forget all about that. The restaurant is just by the reception and we were given a light breakfast as we had an early start. Lovely fresh fruit and croissant with choice of coffees or teas. Elizabeth,... More

Just returned from 10day holiday at the Bel Jou, had a great time. Used Saga's door to door service to the UK airport & return, great as I live over 200 miles away. The hotel is excellently run, large bedrooms, well maintained grounds and facilities. Food buffet style most of the week with a good choice and variety. All the... More

We have been lucky enough to visit Bel Jou on 3 occasions, staying for 3 weeks each time and are looking forward to returning in October after a two week stay in Antigua.Having stayed at several of the Caribbean Islands [Tobago,Barbados,Grenada..] each of them has their own charm and differences but the one thing you will always be sure of is... Just returned from 3 weeks at the Bel Jou, Saga door to door service brilliant on outward journey, but return left much to be desired, the use of a VW bus to transport tired guests on a 200+ mile trip is NOT a good idea. The hotel was very good, food varied but mostly good, room very clean, bright & comfortable,... More

We've just returned from three weeks in this hotel in St Lucia. The hotel is owned by SAGA and caters mainly for folks aged 50 or over. The oldest person there while we stayed was in his 90's. The hotel is clean, well appointed with friendly, attentive staff. Food was plentiful and varied buffet style. Lulu's Cabana served light lunches,... More

Had a great 14 nights holiday at the Bel Jou from April 8th.- weather typical tropical with a few showers but very warm. We had booked the previous July which meant we were able to fly with Virgin and preselect our seats at no additional charge. The flight out was excellent with the crew very attentive and all the services... More

We have just returned from the Bel Jou hotel after a 3-week holiday with Saga. Firstly let me say that the service from Saga and the hotel were first class in every way. A lovely BMW series 7 car picked us up from home but imagine our disappointment when this only took us to a services at Sheffield and we... More

Contemplating two weeks at Bel Jou, Saga's own hotel might cause some people to think twice but any reservations I had were soon blown away by the excellent room overlooking the extensive gardens, (the pride and joy of Head gardener Eugene, make sure to take in his garden tour) the very friendly staff, the seamless and personal on site management,...
