We were very pleased with our stay at Tropical Hotel in St. Jean, St. Barts. The hotel is located up a fairly steep hill above St. Jean beach with easy access to the beach, shopping and restaurants. Our package included a bay view and a car. While the hotel is nice enough and the location is nice the staff at... More

While on a recent sailing trip, the 3 women look a break for a 2 day stay at the Tropical. The road directly up to the hotel was under major repair so taxis did not want to take us there. No problem , the staff picked us up at the dock and continued to provide us with rides to Gustavia... More

Very good location, not to large but clean room and a wonderful bed. Prices on St. Barts are high, this hotel is more affordable but still expensive for budget travellers. More

We stayed at the Tropical Nov 2-9th 2009. We Loved this little hotel. It was our first time in St Barth's, so we don't have alot of experience, but we certainly had a great time our first time over. The hotel is very clean and the grounds maintained perfect. The maid service (thank you to Ilda {sp?} our maid who... More

I would recommend this hotel to those looking for a decent hotel in an excellent location. The hotel is a short walk up a STEEP hill, directly behind the Eden Rock Hotel. In fact, I spent most of my time on the beach directly in front of Eden Rock while paying 210 Euros per night. This is a much better... More

We stayed 4 nights at this local gem, which is good value in an otherwise expensive but very nice area. The location is perfect, not far from a number of very good restaurants, shops and an excellent beach. A short walk up a steep hill that takes you off the main beach road and results in a quieter hotel atmosphere.... More

We had been to St. Barts just once before, on a day trip and decided that we would like to return this year for a few days. Our vacation started in St. Martin (French side) for 5 days and then flew via Air Carribe to St. Barts. Someone from the hotel was there to greet us. He was cordial but... More

"For the Fantasy" was why the very attractive young French Lady, Majaliene, who served breakfast at the Tropical, described her coming to St Barts. The Tropical certainly contributed to my "fantasy stay" last week. The hotel is a great value for the spacious room, beautiful gardens, and airy and immaculately kept sitting/lounge areas and bar. Hotel is perfectly situated on... More

Having never been to St. Barth's, we didn't know what to expect. But we were pleasantly surprised with Tropical Hotel! We are a couple in our late twenties on a budget, so we wanted someplace with a good location and relatively good value - St. Jean was the perfect location. It was a fun, young town, and it had some... More
