I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Scout's Place hotel in Windwardside, Saba in April 2015. I was visiting for my son's graduation from SUSOM and I needed a comfortable, convenient place to stay for the week and Scout's was perfect! My room was charming and comfortable and the view from the private balcony was spectacular. I slept with the balcony... More

The past 2 weeks I enjoyed the hospitality of Scout's Place. Nice rooms with an overwhelming see view. Nice swimming pool with sun chairs to relax. The hotel is in the middle of Windwardside, a small town in the middle of Saba. Nice hiking tracks starting from Windwardside. Next door is a diving company, to arrange nice diving, Cheap taxis... Because of my last minute booking/availability issue I stayed one night downstairs and was moved to the second floor for 3 nights - worked out good to experience both types of their accommodations. 1st floor room (Category I) had two single beds, nightstands/lamps, mini-fridge & coffee/tea (wide variety!), a chair, TV, a small bathroom with shower. No appliances were plugged... More

There are a couple of hotels in windwardside. Make reservations in advance. Somethimes it could be fully booked. We had a nice room, with view over the forest and the ocean. The hotel has a very small swimming pool where they give diving instructions. there are beds around the pool. The hotel has a restaurant (nice view from the inside... More

Scouts place is a "swanky little not what you'd expect from the outside" restaurant. It's delicious: Johnny cakes, salt fish, coffee, juice and a view! There are several menu options that include american, caribbean, healthy and hearty breakfast options. Hotel visitors get to upgrade for less. The staff is Kind and attentive.

When looking for a unique place to explore the island of Saba surfaced as my next stop. Scouts Place kept popping up as the place to stay and seemed to be in a great spot for someone who knew not much of the island. Scouts was also very affordable in their prices. They also hook you up with dives and... More

I stayed about 9 days and loved it. I was traveling alone, important to feel safe. The staff was very friendly, and the rooms were clean and well kept. The shower was nice and hot after a long day of diving. I had to work throughout my vacation, so Internet was important. I was pleased with my internet connection in... More

My 3rd trip to Saba for diving. Each time, I've stayed at Scout's Place and dived with Saba Divers. I always stay on the top floor (second floor) and I'm never disappointed. The rooms have a nice view of the ocean and mountains to each side. The rooms are clean and the hotel is centrally located. Wifi works well. There's... More

We've stayed three nights at Scout's Place. It's central location in downtown Windwardside is a big plus if you have just a couple of days, since you have most restaurants, shops and places of interest nearby. It's just a few minutes walk to the start of the Mount Scenery Stairway. The hotel is nice and cosy. The rooms are okay.... More

Scout's place is located in Winwardside and closed to all attractions within the small town. The location is great, the ocean view magnificent and the rooms small but have everything you may need - minus a mosquito net. I usually do not get get a lot of mosquito bites but had a real problem here. I bought the local OFF... More

Hi dear traveler. Thank you for the review. Sorry you had problems with mosquitos. Actually Saba is known for not having any of these insects and we normally don't. All necessary water areas have guppies in them and these little fish eat the mosquito larva's. We really have no idea why it didn't work for you. Concerning the shadow at... More
