We have just returned from a two week trip to Saba. We had quite the adventure in just getting there as we were delayed out of Chicago and then subsequently missed all of our connecting flights including the one to Saba from St. Martin! First off let me say that the lodge is in a lovely “off the beaten path... more

The ecolodge is comprised of small, durably constructed cabins on the edge of the rainforest. Each cabin has a theme painted by their resident artist, Heleen. Cabins have bathrooms with eco-toilet (meaning light flush), gravity flow shower that is solar heated (get your shower by 5 PM if you want it warm), and can accomodate four or so people each.... more

I survived Saba landing....The most tiny airport in the world! The Ecolodge Rendez vous it's the place to be on Saba. The owners and the employees are so nice, take time to provide information about Saba. The site is in jungle rainforest. The Rainforest Restaurant is so excellent, the red curry coconut shrimp it's perfect! I climbed the Mt Scenery,... more

I do not have much to say because I have read other reviews on this site and they say enough. I am writing this review actually just to emphasize the nice things the reviews say about the Ecolodge by adding some of my pictures. The place is amazing, the service is great, the food is delicious and presented very nicely... more

My sister and I took a few days away from our trip in St. Maartin to dive in Saba. We were so pleased to have chosen the Ecolodge. It is a magical place. The cottages are artfully painted and decorated. we stayed in the dolphin cottage. We had a hammock on our porch which we enjoyed after a long day... more

The Ecolodge on the tiny island of Saba is a magical place with frogs and crickets providing the evening concert in the rainforest each night. The entire Ecolodge runs on solar power, recycling is a way of life and even the beer bottles are recycled. The philosophy of the Ecolodge is "contact with nature restores a sense of well being.... more

Went to Saba 9/1/05 for peace and solitude. Got exactly that. The only noise was the tree frogs at night. The quietest rain forest in the day time. Lots of very great hiking with incredible views. Ecolodge was hand painted cabins, very comfortable and private. Solar showers a bit chilly but no other complaints. The food at the lodge was... more

My wife and I just returned from a week at the Ecolodge on Saba, and we are already planning for our next visit. If you are looking for a place to truly enjoy nature, without the noise and distractions of modern life, this is the place for you. I'll first talk a little about Saba in general, then about our... more

The Ecolodge is one of the best bargains in the Caribbean, a sort of luxury camp. The cottages are beautiful, individually decorated, extremely private, and fairly luxurious given the fact that the entire resort runs on solar power (no real showers though). The food at the restaurant was consistently delicious. Almost everything comes from their own garden, and the cooks... more

Wonderful stay, very friendly and caring staff. Built into the side of a rain forest covered dormant volcano, it is beautiful, peaceful, and refreshing. I could not recommended it highly enough. more
