If you are a hiker and want to nestle in close to the trails this place is great! Clean rooms and friendly owner Maria. Not easy to get to if you are out of shape or want to be out after dark. We arrived on a Monday and had a note left for us indicating our cabin. It was cute... More

We were happy and reasonably comfortable in our lodge, although the pool (and the small jacuzzi on our porch) were less than appealing; the pool especially needs to be cleaned up. These are simple rooms but charming. There was some limited kitchen equipment (a portable burner, some simple pots, utensils and plates) which we took advantage of as well. Location... More

We often find it hard to make a decision to stay somewhere that has mixed reviews, but the uniqueness of this place being off the grid in the rainforest just made us want to give it a try at least for a couple of days. With that mindset, knowing that it would be an adventure more like camping at a... More

What is good: Location and restaurant What is under par: Swimming pool (I wouldn't even let my dog swim in this pool) Hot tub (See previous remark) Sheets on the bed (they really stink) I am very easy going and do not expect much so I did not border that: - you need to bring your own flashlight to find... I've been hosteling, camping, backpacking lots of places, but I have NEVER stayed in a rainforest before Ecolodge. There are a few rainforests in the Caribbean, but no camping allowed, no hotels inside (most are parks). One of the neat things about Saba. Our lodge/hut/bungalow/cottage (not sure the best word) was better than I expected. I really appreciate the owners'... More

My partner and I enjoyed staying at the Ecolodge but there are definitely a few things that could use some love. Its a little run down eg. the sheets smell a little moldy and not all kitchen supplies available. The shower is cold water, so be prepared. Staff are nice and helpful, great chef onsite too.The location is not bad... More

When you visit Saba this is a beautiful place to stay. The huts are beautiful and in the style of all the houses on the island. The owner is very friendly and helpfull. It's really quiet and you wake up by the sounds of many birds. The view was really spectacular. Although it's a beautiful place, be aware of the... More

Individual cottages in the middle of the rainforest. What else could you ask for? As long as you are aware of what you are going to, you will love it there. There is no paved road to take you to the front door...a taxi will drop you off at the closest spot it can which is about a 10 minute... More

I stayed here in 2008 in one of the upper cottages. Great view and although rooms are basic, this is part of the experience. I could see the Caribbean Sea and islands in the distance. Also the food was good and they had an Indonesian night at that time, which meant fantastic food. Probably the only 'disadvantage' is that it's... More

Each of the "rooms" is a separate cottage, and each one is quite distinctly different, and very comfortably decorated in what I assume is the local style. The lodge is located at the end of a rocky dirt path, and each cottage branches off a path that meanders deep into the tropical forest. I'm no spring chicken, and taking that... More
