whaou !!! that is what i needed, time away in the rain forest. The hotel is so cute, Keith was there waiting for our diving group from St Barth. He made amazing food for everyone that we were all sharing. After dinner we had some music around the fire. Good localisation if you want to go hiking to the top... More

Stayed two nights at the Saba Eco Lodge and enjoyed every minute of it. The Eco Lodge management seems to be transitioning into some new young owners, Keith and Kelly. On my first day after a couple of dives I was lucky enough to attend the Saturday night dinner which is a family style dinner with about 18 persons present... More

I've been SCUBA diving Saba for 7-8 years and in the past have always eaten at the Rainforest restaurant in the evening. In the evenings, you had to bring a flashlight because it is pitch dark outside. Once inside, it was quite nice although still quite dark, only lit by natural beeswax candles all around and a bare light bulb... More

Ecolodge Rendez-Vous (or just Ecolodge, as folks say on Saba) was great. Keith and Kelly, the current owners, took things over a few months ago - so you can expect some changes and improvements over reviews posted before this time. Things are improving markedly. The pool and hot tubs were added by the previous owner - they're out of commission,... More

It's been a while now, we've stayed there in October 2010, and it was wonderful. We wanted to stay close to nature while at the same time enjoying a romantic place, since it was our honeymoon. We got both there. We won't forget the nights in the hot tub at the veranda of our little hut, enjoying the stars above... More

If you are a hiker and want to nestle in close to the trails this place is great! Clean rooms and friendly owner Maria. Not easy to get to if you are out of shape or want to be out after dark. We arrived on a Monday and had a note left for us indicating our cabin. It was cute... More

We were happy and reasonably comfortable in our lodge, although the pool (and the small jacuzzi on our porch) were less than appealing; the pool especially needs to be cleaned up. These are simple rooms but charming. There was some limited kitchen equipment (a portable burner, some simple pots, utensils and plates) which we took advantage of as well. Location... More

We often find it hard to make a decision to stay somewhere that has mixed reviews, but the uniqueness of this place being off the grid in the rainforest just made us want to give it a try at least for a couple of days. With that mindset, knowing that it would be an adventure more like camping at a... More

What is good: Location and restaurant What is under par: Swimming pool (I wouldn't even let my dog swim in this pool) Hot tub (See previous remark) Sheets on the bed (they really stink) I am very easy going and do not expect much so I did not border that: - you need to bring your own flashlight to find... I've been hosteling, camping, backpacking lots of places, but I have NEVER stayed in a rainforest before Ecolodge. There are a few rainforests in the Caribbean, but no camping allowed, no hotels inside (most are parks). One of the neat things about Saba. Our lodge/hut/bungalow/cottage (not sure the best word) was better than I expected. I really appreciate the owners'... More
