For a year we looked for the ultimate destination for a second honeymoon to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. Saba, the Shearwater Resort and the Bistro del Mare did not disappoint, in fact, we were overwhelmed. The incredible view, the professional yet warm hospitality, the outstanding cuisine and presentation, the assistance in arranging travel around the island were fantastic. At... More

Yet another jem hidden away in Saba... the interior setting has a fun artistic flair that follows through to their rooms that are very well designed. Beautifully prepared dishes and a well stocked bar makes dining here a memorable experience. With a vew that is hard to find in the Carribean, sunset drinks on the cliff side patio are a... More

The best quality to price i have experience so far in the Caribbean. An absolutely fabulous view, great rooms and excellent beds. The restaurant is top quality: beautiful dishes, great service and an impressive list of Italian, French and American wines. Paul (manager) and his staff are friendly and always at your service without being "over-attentive". For business and vacation,... More

My husband and I just returned from our first trip to Saba and can't reccommend it enough to all of our friends....with the condition that they must stay at Shearwater Resort! From the moment we arrived, we were treated spectacularly. Our room was absolutely beautiful, well appointed, and you couldn't have beat the views: nothing but ocean and the surrounding... More

I visited Saba and Shearwater Resort for a long weekend on a whim. Not knowing what to expect I was more than pleasantly suprised not only by the property and amenities, but also the personal treatment I received from Paul (the owner) and the staff. The island is beautiful but the hotel and pampering outshine even the island. The view... More

We just want to say that our stay at your resort was unforgettable. The sights and sounds of your resort, along with the friendly people of Saba have been permanently imprinted in our unconscious. This can be the only explanation why both of us are having recurring dreams of the island since returning home. Coming to Saba and staying at Sherawater... More

I originally learned of Shearwater while having dinner at Bistro del Mare (reviewed in a separate review) one night on a scuba trip. Paul (the owner) invited us to enjoy the pool area for drinks the next day. When we arrived the next day we had drinks poolside overlooking the pool with a complete view of the ocean and and... More

Shearwater is a true Gem. The owner Paul treats you as if you are a guest in his home. Paul and his staff will cater to your every whim. The resort has the largest swimming pool on the island and the only tennis courts. I have stayed in this resort when it was the Willards and must say that the... More

Shearwater is truly a special place. The rooms are nice, the staff is wonderful and the views are simply stunning. We spent time by the pool, playing tennis, and just relaxing. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Paul (the owner) was a wonderful host. It was such a great experience - words cannot adequately describe all the place has to... More

When I was a medical student on Saba, we would sometimes go up Shearwater for special occasions. The food is amazing, and the views are spectacular. Since Paul took over the resort it has taken on a new life. While before as Willards, it only had a view, now every part of the building is modernized, with a clean simple... More
