They told us Montseratt was magical. It is, and so much more. We have visited over 60 countries and this is undoubtedly the most friendly of them all. Gingerbread Hill is also the perfect place from which to explore this exceptionally save island. We didn't lock our doors once. We arrrived in the dark and on our first morning we... More

This is a fascinating and bizarre island. Our hosts were super awesome. What you don't see in any literature when researching this island, is that reserving your own car is a must. You will not be hiking to your destinations, catching a cab or a bus. Montserrat is a vertical, amazingly beautiful, and unique island that is populated by the... More

I adore the views from this wonderful spot. We stayed in the villa sadly just for one night as we came to see the volcano. The family is just great and David and clover really looked after us. The villa is so well equipped and the view from the veranda is breathtaking. We did the volcano tour with their son... More

Spent 4 wonderful nights in Monserrat at Gingerbread Hill. The mango cottage is perfect for a solo traveler or couple. Spent every morning under the tree on the stone patio enjoying my own breakfast. David and Clover were great hosts. The first day I did the tour with Sunny which was incredible, especially since it was just the two of... More

We came to Montserrat for a long weekend from Antigua, as my boyfriend works in English Harbour. We were met at the ferry port by David, and Noah their Son as soon as we arrived, even though the ferry was delayed by an hour. We had only called the day before and they managed to squeeze us in. We stayed... More

Enjoyed our stay at Gingerbread Hill in the Villa. We enjoyed the porch and views of the ocean and the sunsets. I especially liked relaxing on the swing. We honeymooned in Montserrat pre-volocano and thoroughly enjoyed our personalized tour from Sunny. We were amazed at the changes in the island, but enjoyed the secluded beaches and the friendly people. Clover... More

Monserrat is a pretty magical place and a big part of the magic can be found at gingerbread hill. We stayed in the aptly named heavenly suite for 3 days and our only regret is not staying longer. The Lea family are excellent hosts, nothing is too much trouble and we were welcomed as part of the family from minute... More

Our week as guests in the Heavenly Suite was just that. Constant sea breezes kept the temperature perfect for outdoor living and the views of the water, mountains and sunsets were magical from our balcony. The rooms are very nicely decorated and comfortable. The kitchen has everything needed but we chose to visit the several interesting restaurants Clover recommended, The... More
