We ended up at the Hotel Bambou when our reservations at another place in Anse Mitan fell through. We stayed in their bungalows, which are like something out of Munchkinland--little streets of cottages with weird roof angles and all knotty pine inside. I was not actually staying at the Hotel Bambou but was in Anse Mitan for 6 weeks and observed it. It was during October/November 2002 and definitely off season. Except for the hotels on Point du Bout business appeared pretty dead. And then there was the Hotel Bambou. People were being bused in there continuously, mainly middle aged or older...
