First of all the Hotel has been renamed - it is no longer the Meridien - it is now the Kalenda.
The staff is friendly, the rooms ok (very small) the pool, landscaping and beach quite well maintained. That is where it stops.
Generally the building itself, the lobby and diningroom are in a desperate need of renovations and truly, the food in the main dining room needs to be improved considerably, I looked at the dinner buffet twice and then went on to a nearby marina restaurant to eat.
There is no information on Martinique in the rooms, no directory of service, no island magazine, no island map, nothing, There is a sighseeing operator stationed in the lobby. If you are thinking of using your laptop in the room, think again - no high speed internet access. There is one access point in the lobby.
Would I be staying there again - NO, I would rather pay the extra money and stay at the nearby Bakua hotel
