The hotel is located approximately 10 minutes drive from the airport and about 15 minutes from Fort de France. It is not within walking distance from anything. The hotel is very dated, and is due for a renovation. Not withstanding that, it was clean not perfect but acceptable. Very nice view from the pool bar and restaurant which are all... More

First of all, the reception was warm and welcoming. The room was luxurious and neat. Everything I could need was in this room including a stocked fridge which unknown to me, I had to be charged for. Well it makes sense. The buffet in the mornings was muchmore than iI could ask for. Such large variety. And good food. I... More

The best thing I can say is it's near the airport. The staff is OK, the A/C works and the rooms are clean. It is not located in an area with anything else to recommend it, up on a knoll above the noisy rocade. There is noplace to get food until supposedly 5:30, and when the time arrived the barman... I recently left La Val Meniere Hotel after a long stay of 2 weeks. Though I was there for a sad reason (my partner was very ill in the nearby hospital) the staff at this hotel did everything they could to look after me.The breakfast was delicious, with a great variety and always well stocked. The spacious room was kept... More

Worse in the Caribbean so far for me. Terrible staff, room (view on the landfill), breakfast meal, and the pool with everybody seeing you is the worse. Even more its very expensive because a business hotel ! Don't go be smart.

As my colleague & I were quietly eating breakfast in this hotel, we were berated by a waitress for having the temerity to take our food from the trays and put it on the table. She moaned that us taking the plates, cups, cutlery off the trays and made her job of clearing the tables harder. She made my colleague... More

The Valmeniere is nice for a business stay. Spacious rooms, the included Breakfast is not bad, and the restaurant menu is pretty good too. One thing to note though, the TV channels are all in French...not that many staying at the Valmeniere would have much TV watching time, it just an FYI

This hotel has a very good situation, but what a bad welcome from some people of the staff... I made two stays in this hotels, one room had a broken shower curtain and both AC were loud. Unfortunatly one of the cheapest hotel of the island, so if you want to save money, your best bet if you put aside... More

The hotel is nice! Rooms are large and confortable even if mine had a noise due to the wind coming from the door. I had to put some towels to stop the wind to enter. Wi-fi is not orking for the moment but it should be temporary as inside it is well promoted. The reception staff is not so professional.... More
