Our latest travel adventure found us with a change of plans, and Douglas saved our day -- he took us in on a shortest notice possible, arranged our room for our best advantage, and was very kind and accommodating during our stay! Thank you!!!!! As to the inn itself: it is really super clean, and very neat -- not a... more

Spent two nights here and absolutely loved it. Jose was wonderful from the moment I spoke with him on the phone. He asked me about my travel plans and pointed a major glitch (their was no 8 pm ferry that week) saving me from being stuck in Fajardo overnight with no place to stay. He quickly helped me get a... more

Acacia is a top-notch guesthouse: immaculate, with very attractive accomodations, beautiful landscaping, and gracious and helpful hosts (and fresh mangoes when in season!). Doug and Jose are wonderful , and they know all the best businesses on the island: where to eat, who offers the best bio-bay tours, etc. At their recommendation, Claire provided several excellent snorkeling expeditions and she... more

Stayed for only a couple of nights (which was too short, would recommend at least a week to explore the whole island). The suites were spacious and clean. The location was only a short walk from beaches and restuarants. The cost is very affordable. What really makes the place standout though is the service provided my the hosts. We ran... more

I stayed at the Acacia for one week during a visit to see a friend in Vieques. The owners Jose and Douglas could not have been more welcoming or pleasant! The Studio Apartment was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Contrary to some reviews, it did have A/C but I never used it, as the cool breezes were far preferable. Vieques... more

My husband and I just returned from a five night stay in Vieques in early November 2008. We absolutely loved the Acacia Guesthouse. Douglas and Jose were extremely accomodating and had excellent tips on places to check out during our stay. We stayed in the studio apartment, which was beautifully decorated and very clean. The roof top deck has amazing... more

We stayed at Acacia in the downstairs apartment this October. I agree with the reviews that Douglas and Jose are excellent hosts! Even though we experienced some poor weather, we still had a nice time and were VERY happy we had a suite instead of a hotel room. The apartment was clean, had a nice sitting area and kitchenette. The... more

We stayed for two nights, which was at least one night too short, in part due to the fun which we had in and around Esparanza and also in part due to the most relaxing experience at Acacia. Not to mention the owners are super friendly, very helpful, and a lot of fun. Fruit trees abound on the property and... more

Two of my girlfriends and I spent 4 nights at Acacia Guesthouse in May. We stayed in the penthouse suite which was just fantastic - a generous living room/kitchen with a large bedroom opening with French doors onto a private terrace. The accommodations were neat and clean, and the kitchen was fully stocked with the necessities (blender, coffee maker, all... more

My husband and I were looking for a relaxing island experience without the heavy tourist feel of a resort and we found a PERFECT haven in Acacia guest house on Vieques. We rented the penthouse (definitely worth the few extra dollars) and enjoyed the private rooftop patio every morning for breakfast and every evening for a sundowner. We could easily... more
