My husband and I just spent five amazing days as the guests of wonderful and gracious hosts Laura and Ron. Their small inn is big on ambiance and convenience. The Yellow Brick Inn is a beautiful house (with a bright yellow roof and, yes, yellow brick paths) perched on one of the island's highest points where the breeze soothes you inside one of the clean, beautifully decorated, large efficiencies with kitchen and private baths. Laura and Ron were unbelievable, really (well, we're NewYawkers) in their generosity and friendliness. They steered us to all the island's best attractions and restaurants, were helpful in calling to set up our plans, then wanted to hear all about it after--yet they gave us space and privacy, and didn't make fun of the fact that we barely emerged from our room until noon each day.
