Great location just a block from the Malecon/boardwalk. Had the room right off the garden/patio, which was wonderful. Really comfy bed, spacious, good light. Lisa and J were very helpful. Appreciated use of the beach chairs and umbrellas other folks had left behind. Other guests were also friendly.

We had a wonderful time at the Esperanza Inn! Normally I think there is a three-day minimum, but we took a chance and found a last-minute cancellation, and got an upstairs room, which was huge! The next morning we lucked into another night at the Casita, also incredibly excellent. Both Brian and Lisa were wonderful folks to chat with, and... More

This is a fantastic place to stay if you're visiting Vieques. It's clean, beautiful and really well kept. The owners, J and Lisa, are really nice and usually available to help out or offer advice. They leave out breakfast foods in the kitchen for guests to enjoy until about 11am. Cereals, muffins, cinnamon buns, brownies, etc. Nice touch. Also, there's... More

Very clean place, perfect service, the feeling is like home, it is a warm place. Very peacefull hotel. It is easy to be relax. loved the breakfast!! Eggs, muffins, cookies, bread, cereal, coffee, juice, fresh fruits, milk, coffee cakes, and more. The room was pretty big and comfortable. But the most important thing for me was that the Sunbay Beach... More

We just returned from our recent vacation to Vieques and were fortunate enough to stay at the Esperanza Inn. This was our third time visiting the island - and it was most definitely the best. The Esperanza Inn (EI) was in a perfect location and our accommodations were great. J and Lisa are honest, accommodating and knowledgeable hosts who provide... More

Our recent stay at the Esperanza Inn, our fourth or fifth, was once again entirely enjoyable. We were there for a week and wished we could stay longer. I would ditto the many positive comments posted recently and add a different perspective on Room #5: That room, which we were in for three nights, has its merits. Because it is... More

My girlfriend and I were headed to Vieques for the wedding of a close friend, but a large snowstorm cancelled flights through Delta's hub in Atlanta all the way to New York. We stayed in touch with Esperanza, and alerted them as soon as we learned that our third or fourth alternative flight was cancelled, and that we were not... More

The hotel usually only take minimum 3 night stays so I was unable to book before arriving in Vieques. We stayed at Coco Loco just up the road instead as they accept short term stays in their Casita. We decided to stay an extra night and Coco Loco was full so we asked around. Esperanza Inn luckily had a 1... More

Although the Esperanza Inn is close to the Malecon, it was very quiet and secluded (except for the noises from the nearby dogs and roosters). My daughter and I stayed for only two nights, but wish we had been able to have the third. We stayed in apartment 10, the Family Room. It was a large, clean room with great... More

We were looking for value, location and connection and that's what we got at the Esperanza Inn. Owners Jay and Lisa and staff were informative, helpful, professional and generous hosts. Key benefits: low cost room, excellent breakfast, shared kitchen/fridge, relaxing back patio, garden and small pool, surprisingly enjoyable roof deck to get away from bugs and watch sunset, a whole...
